A separate information sheet is available containing track notes about the nature & culture of Watarrka NP Walkers can choose to do part of the Track in separate day walks by starting or finishing at Lilla carpark. It can be walked in either direction. Grade 3 - MODERATE - Suitable for experienced walkers of average fitness, capable and equipped to carry adequate food, water and sleeping requirements in a remote area. Vehicle access: Kings Canyon and Kathleen Springs are both well established visitor nodes with carparking, toilets, picnic facilities and water. Track Markers: Orange arrows at intervals of approximately 10-100 metres. Due to the nature of the landscape, walkers are advised to locate the next marker prior to departure from the present marker. Camping: Walkers can camp anywhere between the 3 km and 20 km track markers, however the recommended place to camp is Reedy Creek. Water: A limited supply of drinking water is available at the Kings Canyon day use area and Kathleen Springs carpark. Surface water should not be relied upon.
