Note from the Editor

Starting January 2011 the cost of the room will rise

from $25 per meeting to $50!

Please help us offset this cost by paying your dues.

Due to this increase we found it necessary to raise the

cost of dues. If you are a Lifetime member or if you

paid in December this change doesn’t affect you.

The new rate is $10 for an individual and $15 for a

family.

Please mail to the address above or pay at the meeting

Also in January we will have sign-ups for our

monthly refreshments. You can either bring them or

pay $20 to “sponsor” that month.

President’s Message

Dear GCC Members & Friends,

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Hanukkah

and Christmas and a fun New Year’s Eve. Best

wishes to all for a knock-out New Year!

I am sure that everyone will agree that we again

had a fantastic Holiday Party. Food, Friendship

& Fun that is quite a potent combo. Thanks so

much to everyone who brought food & drink to

share & to everyone who helped get everything

on the table. Nobody has a party like the GCC!!

Please be sure to bring Show & Tell

and auction items. I think that Show

& Tell is one of the highlights of the

meeting.

Please invite friends to the next meeting

so they can learn about our wonderful

hobby.

January’s Program

Dennis Berry has been collecting Casino

Limited Edition Silver Strike Tokens since

late 1994.

This short talk will bring all of you into the

fun of this hobby which is really not too far

away from coin collecting.

Dennis will share the beginnings up to

today with the casino tokens growing from

small $2.00 tokens all the way up to a new

$300.00 one pound .999 fine silver token.

If you have a few of these and would like

to share what you have, this would be the

right meeting to do just that!!!

Dennis says that he “looks forward to

sharing with all of you and also learning

from some of your stories”.
