• MORE ABOUT LEADERSHIP
• The task of the leader is to take his people
from where they are to where they have
never been.
• Leadership cannot be taught, it can only
be learned.
What does it take to be a leader?
• Is it the sheer knowledge one possesses?
• Is it the way he connects with people?
• Is it the mere capacity to direct and
manage?
• If so, will this be enough to consider
someone a LEADER?
• We’ll see.
CHARACTER
• The MOST IMPORTANT characteristic
of a leader. It is the DECISIONS and the
MORALITY of a leader that gives them
the RESPECTABLE CHARACTERthat others look to follow.
COMPETENCE
• The UNDERSTANDING of WHAT is to
be done and HOW to do it. This quality is
VITAL for a leader because they are the
people who COMMAND OTHERS, and
they must understand their command.
COMPASSION
• If the members SEE that the leader
CARES for them, they will be MORE TRUSTING of the decisions that he
makes. RECOGNIZING and
ACKNOWLEDGING them will
MAKE the people want to do their JOBto the BEST of their ability.
COURAGE
• COURAGE is described as having the
STRENGTH both mentally and physically
to DO something that most people could
NOT do. It takes TRUE COURAGE to
not only MAKE the DECISION but also
to FULFILL it.

LEADING
• Leaders are VERY
INDISPENSABLE in any part of
society. But no matter how good a leader
is, there will always be CRITICS.
• That’s why even the most eager and
talented would THINK TWICE before
accepting the job.
• Who wouldn’t?
• Leadership is something that is
worked on or is a product of life
experiences that honed one’s
potential.
• In finding the right leaders, we
consume so much time, energy, and
resources.
• One must realize that EVERYONE CAN LEAD. Given our different giftedness as individuals, each of us will find ourselves in a position of leadership at different times.
• When that time comes, TRUST YOURSELF , but more importantly, trust that you are not alone and that, in fact, God is the one calling you to become the
leader and SERVE those around you.
