“Challenges are just changes and we have to adapt. You never know what someone else is facing. So be patient with each other. ”
“Gratitude. It has an everlasting impact on everyone. From the person who inally makes sense of his past, to the person who is at peace in her life today,
to the person who can see through life’s hardships and create a vision for tomorrow. It is hard to link one person to another, but the one thing that
unites us all is our capacity to feel and express gratitude.” -Thien Nguyen

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today,
and creates a vision for tomorrow.”- Melody Beattie
The Gratitude Project is a year long exploration in which students asked the question, “Is there gratitude in the aftermath of life’s greatest challenges?” After interview-ing family elders and eight in class participants, students responded through art and writing. Their re lections re-vealed a newfound respect for hardship and sacri ice, as well as a developing sense of personal gratitude.
