What is the G.E.M.?– The Green Energy Machine

• Made by IST Energy• Is a trash compactor that generates energy

– “It eats trash and craps out alternative energy”

Specifications

• Converts trash into “energy pellets,” – then transformed into electricity and gas heat.– Takes in agricultural waste, biomass, cardboard,

food, manure, paper, plastic, wood.– Converts up to 3 tons daily

• Yields 120 kilowatts of energy

How it Benefits & SAVES $$$

Benefits• Maximizes the Waste-To-Energy transformation

ratio• Cheap source of energy• Environmentally friendly

How it Saves• SAVES $250,000 of energy YEARLY!• Eliminates the costs of businesses spending in

disposal fees

Although there are negatives…

• Costs $850,000… a lot of $ to fork out– “but you gain it back in 3 years by saving

$250k annually”

• Takes up three parking spaces– Is about 8 feet tall…

• Noisy to an extent

How this will affect the economy…

• By more businesses going green!– Conserving energy, saving money, recycling, etc– Alternative Energy instead of solar

• Cuts costs with very quick payback

– Create more competition towards a new era

• It would be nice to have in landfills…– Replace the inefficient & pollutant garbage

incinerators
