On Friday, March 6, join in as we pray for peace, justice and tolerance all the world around.

Messy church is designed especially for families to have fun, relax, explore
faith and enjoy a meal together! Messy Church in February was full of love.
Each family decorated a “Giving Bag,” then took it home, to put a treat or
small gift inside, to give to a neighbor or friend. The neighbor or friend
will continue sharing the love by adding their own gift and passing it on to
others. It is a great way to share God’s love.
At our March Messy Church, we will look at our amazing bodies that have
been created by God. Messy Church is a growing and vibrant ministry.
All ages are welcome. Come and worship with us on the 2nd Saturday
(usually) of each month from 5 to 7pm.
Saturday, March 14Saturday, March 14Saturday, March 14 BodyWorksBodyWorksBodyWorks In April, we will meet on *Saturday, April 18, when our theme will be

FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEON CLUB
Our monthly potluck luncheon will be held on Wednesday, March 25, in Moore Hall. We will gather at 11:30am for light conversation and will have lunch at noon followed by a fantastic program.

The God We Can Know is a Seven-week study designed to explore the “I am” sayings of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. Perfect for Lent, this series will help you find and form an answer to the most essential question in the Christian faith, “Who do you say I am?” One by one, Jesus’s statements grab our imagination, reveal more about his
identity and purpose, and connect us to the God of Moses, who spoke the first “I am.” These significant, yet ordinary images (bread, light, shepherd, wine, and more) give us insightful ways to experience Jesus and point us to a God who wants to be known. The DVD, filmed on loca-tion in the Holy Land, allows you to travel with Rob Fuquay, and actually see the places where Jesus stood while disclosing his true identity, and in the context in which he spoke each “I Am.” The books are available in the church office for $10.

Registration for the upcoming school year
for church members started in February.
On March 11, current and previous enrolled
families may register, and on March 18, the
community may enroll. We really appreciate
it when you tell your friends with preschool
age children about our registration. Children
may start school with us whenever they
reach 2.6 years of age.
Don’t forget our 3rd Annual Used Book Fair
is coming up the week of April 19, and also on
Sunday, April 26. We will set up in Moore
Hall B. Save your old books for us – we’ll
take your donations the week prior. You just
come in, choose the books you want, make a
donation and they are yours.
During that same week, we are also collect-
ing your unwanted shoes to be sent to 3rd
world countries. Please bring shoe donations
to the preschool office.
SUNDAY SCHOOL We have heard the stories of the
miracles of Jesus and learned that
the power for those miracles has
come from God. Our upcoming les-
sons will lead us and prepare us for the Easter
celebration. Every week we have approximately
twenty smiling kids eager to learn about God’s
love. Our wonderful Sunday school teachers
come prepared to share this message every
week. It is a fun and exciting place to be on
Sunday mornings. We invite you to come by and
see what is happening.
Faith Friends has a new look! We designed (with
help from Sonya Hatch) a t-shirt for our group.
We then tie dyed them. It was a lot of fun and
not too messy. Keep an eye out for them; they
are really cool, and “far out man!”
We also spent a day jumping at Get Air Trampo-
line Park with our dads. We had a great time
bouncing around with each other. In March, we
will visit the Ronald McDonald House and bake
some cookies for the guests of the house. Please
mark March 22, on your calendars. Faith Friends
have been designing games and perfecting their
magic tricks for their Imagine No Malaria fund-
raiser. Look for us on the patio after both ser-
vices and play some games.
If you have any questions about Faith Friends,
please contact Marty Drake through email
[email protected] or call the church office.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported the latest office fundraiser at CPK on Wednesday, January 21. In addition to the $517.11 we raised, (and we have a very generous anonymous donor who is matching this) we enjoyed delicious food and wonderful fellowship. Since we began this fun and lucrative
endeavor, we have raised over $7,000, which has been used to purchase computers for the entire staff, a new telephone system for the church, new computer software, and recently, a new data management system for the office, all with CPK earnings and matching funds. This does not include the income from SCRIP CPK gift cards purchased from the CUMC Scrippers!. Thank you to everyone who has been involved and we look forward to seeing you all at our next CPK Fundraiser on Wednesday, May 20.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our congregation for its support of the Orange County Social Services adoption unit. In October, with your donations, we were able to provide over $300.00 in toys and items to be given to the children at the time of their adoption signing ceremony. This gives each child a gift of their own to take with them as they become a legal part of their new family. Our church is the only group in this area who fills this need and it is greatly appreciated by the families and the children and we will be collecting on April 12, between services. Again, thank you for your continued generous support. Church and Society ,
Collection for Orange County Adoption Division is Sunday, April 12 Look for us on the patio.
