Taylor crowded workers together in a completely open envi-ronment and settled bosses in private offices from which to observe them - like floors in a factory.

The cubicle concept is brought to a level of ex-treme. Such who know how to seek solutions to problems outside their area of competence and also such who pursue a global look on simple tasks.
