HRA YOUNG LEADERS AWARDS:
Next Award - This is a scheme which we run to reward young Rangers who volunteer to help in extra ways and to teach them how to be better leaders mainly using their volunteering as Pony Helpers on a Sunday afternoon and modules in leadership which they need to pass, but also for those who volunteer with the
RDA Section and on our Young Carer Days.
And the HRA Young Leader Award has been awarded to: POPPY PARKINSON-MCKEVITT
And so we move on to our Riding for the Disabled(RDA) Squadrons. Our RDA groups run Squadron 6 from Tuesday to Friday during term time and Squadron
7 on Wednesday evenings RDA HORSE RANGER OF THE YEAR Here we have the prestigious award for Horse Ranger of the Year from
Squadron 6. The Runner up prize is awarded to RUNNER UP: HANNAH NOTERMANS
Jessie Juneja has been riding with HRA since August 2013. His attendance record is exemplary and he is a great Ambassador for HRA, always looking very smart in his uniform. Over the years his riding has really improved, and he is a very good listener, especially when Sarah Kelly is side helping. Both he and
Gareth are enthusiastic members of the RDA group on Thursday, and this is in recognition of all their hard work.

JUNIOR RDA HORSE RANGER OF THE YEAR Now we move to the Junior RDA Horse Ranger of the Year, and
the runner up is…….RUNNER UP: LEO WEAVER
Dylan has been riding with HRA since October 2017. He is very calm and considerate when he is riding the horses, especially on some of the livelier ones like Dolly. He listens very well, and makes a great effort to do what is being asked. Dylan’s riding has really
improved since he started, and we will continue to support his commitment and dedication to HRA.WINNER: DYLAN BROWN

JACK PETCHEY AWARDS The Jack Petchey Awards were introduced to HRA a few years ago. 9 Awards are awarded each year with the Award Recipients being granted £250 to pay for something ‘extra’ to
benefit others within the organisation. Each Ranger can vote for the young person who they feel deserves recognition. This is a really exciting award as it is Rangers voting for their peers.

This years winner has organised a number of fundraising events for her squadron – an annual Easter egg hunt is loved by the member and raises extra money for the organisation. This event is organised and
run by her and she sources prizes from businesses and runs the event on the day.Her tenacity for the organisation is both inspiring and motivating. She loves the organisation and its
members and will always go the extra mile for them. When informing her commandant of her achievement Abby’s response was “I am so pleased and proud that she has been recognised for the contribution she
makes to the organisation by her peers”.
