THE HUNGER GAMES

Katniss will do anything to survive and make her family proud. Then she meets Peeta a boy from her district who turns out to be madly-in-love with her and will do anything to keep her alive. Together they beat all the other participants and manage to return safe and sound to their homes.

THE HUNGER GAMES

Each year, for 74 years, the Hunger Games have taken place, forcing 24 children from 12 districts ,one boy and a girl from each district, between the ages of 12-18 to kill each other as punishment for the rebellion initiation by District 13.

This year a 16-year-old girl called Katniss Everdeen volunteered to participate at her sister’s place. And this is how the story begins .

CATCHINGFIRE

Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark both survived the Hunger Games. Then they returned to their families hopping for a better future and a peaceful life, although they had to pretend to be in love. But the Capitol was angry and wanted revenge. They made them take part at the 75th hunger games .

Everything turned out to be just fine because Katniss managed to ruin the hole game . But this story couldn’t end right there because president Snow kidnapped Peeta and some other participants. That’s how Catching Fire ended ….with Katniss worrying for them.

MOCKINGJAYKatniss takes stock of her new position as a rebel in District 13. Only three victors were saved from the arena.Katniss is still haunted by Snow and fears for Peeta's life. The book starts in District 12, which has been reduced to ashes. Katniss alone wanted to see the district herself. This is about a month after the arena was blown up.

The Capitol then breaks into chaos, the camera tilts to the floor, screams can be heard and blood splatters can be seen, leading us to believe Peeta is being tortured.

CHARACTERS

THE MAIN CHARACTERSPEETA MELLARKKATNISS EVERDEEN

Peeta is a tribute from district 12 . He works at a bakery and has amazing strength . He loves Katniss as he tries to save her life, he would do anything for her.

Symbolizes the Mockingjay for the rebels. Katniss comes from district 12 . She is an excellent hunter and independent . She loves her family and does anything to keep them alive.

OTHER CHARACTERS

Gale is an 18-year-old boy who lives in District 12. He is Katniss's boyfriend and her hunting partner. He tries to help her family while she’s fighting at the Games .

GALE HAWTHORNE FINNICK ODAIR

Finnick is a tribute from district 4 who at the age of 14 was the youngest to win the 65th Games. He tries to make friends with everyone as he is very popular.

OTHER CHARACTERSHAYMITCH ABERNATHY

Haymitch is a middle aged man who was the victor of the 50th Hunger Games . He is now a mentor who helps Katniss and Peeta and gives them surviving tips .

Effie is a mentor too and organizes everything while the participants live in the capitol to prepare themselves . She also tries to get sponsors’ help for Katniss and Peeta.

PRESIDENT SNOW

President Snow is the leader of the Capitol . He acts very bad around many people , especially at several Hunger Games tributes.
