Editing can help you to fit the visuals with the audio to create a sense of completion and style. There are different ways you can manipulate the scene through editing techniques like the speed, pace, colour, timing, sizing, cropping, resizing and effects. This helps the producer of the music video or any media product to practice and experiment different editing techniques on a footage to create the most meaning and originality. As explained in depth before, we have a specific editing style for our music video to convey our message and to please our target audience. The fast pace of our music video also suggests the fast pace and lifestyle that our target audience lives and also shows the briskness of social rules being applied to our society. The footage above is an original footage of one of the shots that we have used in our music video. As you can see, the footage it self only focuses on what the director is portraying without any emphasis and highlighting however, once it has been edited, we could emphasize the message and intentions of the shot by zooming into the self made posters, cut in between to other posters to show relation of negative outcome and add effects like flashes to suggest that we are the witnesses of these events. This has been done to make the audience realize that we are seeing and are familiar with the events around us but we are not being active, therefore the editing style of our video reinforces the urge to become active and go against capitalism.
