rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD So he went down to Joppa, found a ship which was going to Tarshish, paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD”

Just like Jonah began his ministry to the Gentiles from Joppa, so does Peter in Acts.

For never have I eaten anythin profane and unclean.” •Ezekiel 4:14 “ ‘Oh no Lord’ I protested. ‘ Never have I been made unclean, and from my youth till now,… never has any unclean meat entered my mouth.”

•Lev 11: 1-8 “The LORD spoke again to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them, ‘Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'These are the creatures which you may eat from all the animals that are on the earth. Does not only apply to food, but to Gentile community.

10:28 “ You know that it is unlawful for a Jewish man to associate with, or visit, a Gentile, but God has shown me that I should not call any person profance or clean.”

•10:34- 35 “Then Peter proceeded to speak and said, ‘ In truth, I see that God shows no partiality. Rather in every nation whoever fears him and acts uprightly is acceptable to him.’”

Deuteronomy 10:17"For the LORD your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe.”

2 Chronicles 19:7 “Now then let the fear of the LORD be upon you; be very careful what you do, for the LORD our God will have no part in unrighteousness or partiality or the taking of a bribe."

God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He become visible, not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead. Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins." • Luke 24:41 You are witnesses of these things.• Luke 24: 47 and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.• Matthew 28:  19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,”

Matthew 26:28 for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.
