Plot Usman Khalid, the rich man has died. He had a

wife and four daughters.

Expository

The four son in-laws were hoping that theywould get an amount of wealth. Tajuddeenwas the most trusted son in-law whereasMahmud was best liked son in-law for hisentertaining character.

Rising action

Mahmud seemed to know a secret about hisfather in-law as he approached the chauffeursand offered twenty dollars to the one who tellshim first about a taxi from Tanjung Malimarrives.

Climax

Excluding Mahmud, the others did not have aclue that the late Usman Khalid had a secondyoung wife and three little boys until an out-station taxi from Tanjung Malim arrived.

Falling action

Tajuddeensand the other two son in-laws hopegone on to be willed a fortune.
