With this module the aero-elastic performance of rotor blades can be determined and stability analyses can be performed without the need for a full turbine model or a detailed blade design. This makes it easy to scale up / down an existing blade design and modify it to become the basis for a new blade design. Blade Design**€ 16,300

This includes a unique 3D Structural Blade Modeler, which allows users to interactively model rotor blades in detail. While defining the blade step-by-step, the interactive 3D visualization gives direct feedback of the design changes. Common structural analyses (strain, stress, strength, fatigue, buckling, modal, tip deflection etc.) using an advanced beam model approach can be performed. These analyses are based on load time series, generated by the turbine design module, or imported from external software like Bladed and Flex.

FEM for Blade Design**€ 5,800

The FOCUS FEM provides a composite thick shell finite element that supports tapered layers. The FOCUS FEM module provides the functionalities like static structural analyses, Puck failure crite-rion, composite thick shell elements, Full layup (individual plies), RBE3 elements for load introduction.

FEM Mesh Export for Blade Design**€ 1,600

With the FEM Mesh Export module, the blade model created in the Structural Blade Design module can be converted automatically into a finite element mesh. The finite element mesh can be export-ed to general purpose FEM software like Abaqus, MSC.MARC, MSC.NASTRAN and ANSYS. Finite element mesh is thick shell element based and contains the full layup information. Both linear and parabolic elements are supported.

Bladed 4 Interface**€ 1,600

Blade data from the Blade Design module can be exported to Bladed 4.x (GL Garrad Hassan) for calculating the load case time series by Bladed as an alternative for the calculation by FOCUS6. For the structural analysis of the blade, Bladed load sets can be imported automatically.

Offshore**€ 6,950

The Offshore module provides an interactive 3D modeler to design support structures. The modeler supports monopiles, jacket and lattice tower-like structures. The members of the support structure can be filled with water. Marine growth and grouted members are supported. For post-processing, an interactive 3D visualization tool to analyse the system dynamics, displacements and stresses.In addition, the offshore load case preprocessor generates auto-matically combined wave and wind load sets, complient with cur-rent standards such as IEC 61400-3. The Offshore module is used in combination with the Aeroelasticity II module. Noise Emission*€ 8,050

The noise emission module (requires Aeroelasticity I module) calculates the sound power level of the wind turbine blades and sums it to the overall wind turbine sound power level. The Rotor Pre-Design, Aero-elasticity I module is required to use the Noise Emission module.

Extreme Extrapolation*€ 1,600

The Extreme Extrapolation module performs the 50-year load ex-trapolation as required by IEC 61400-1 Ed. 3 and IEC 61400-3 Ed. 1. The module supports Peak-over-Thresholt (POT) and the Block method to determine the extremes. Different fitting methods for distributions functions such as Generalized Pareto and General-ized Extreme Value are available.

TrainingFree of charge (for basic training)

Although the software is very user friendly, the possibilities the software offers to the users are very extensive. Therefore the base system and all the modules include a training session at WMC or via internet (requires an adequate level of command of English). Based on the modules purchased a dedicated basic training ses-sion to learn how to use the software will be organized. This can vary from half a day to about a week, depending on the amount of

modules. This basic training is for one licensee at the time and will be planned in mutual agreement. The training includes a certificate for successful students. The training material is included with the software and can be used as self-study material as well.

1-Year License

A 1-year license is 50% of the perpetual license list price. For upgrading it to a perpetual at the end of a 1-year license is 60% of the list price .

Trial LicenseA trial (two months) license is 20% of the per-petual license list price. For upgrading it to a perpetual at the end of a trial license is 90% of the list price.

Educational LicensesFor educational institutions licenses are avail-able at a reduced price. Both licenses for class usage and for individual Ph.D students are available.

Multi-user license7.5% per extra user

Multi-user licenses via local network dongles (floating license) are available. For each ad-ditional user the price amounts to 7.5% of the list price. This also applies for the M&S agree-ments. For additional single-user dongles (node locked license) please request for a quote.

Maintenance and Support (M&S)

Regular updates and on-line support are in-cluded for the first year in the price. Thereafter the M&S services are available at 14% per year of the list price of the software. The number of support hours a year is limited to the list price divided by 1000. We have never experienced that this according to our customer was not suf-ficient.
