Deliverable ‘D5.5 TOXI-Triage System Integration’ is on track with the first connectivity tests having been successfully carried out this month.

The objectives of this demonstration were to:

• demonstrate successful connection to the data hub

INTRODUCING THE HZSMSK (FRBMSR) TEAM

ravian-Silesian Region. FRBMSR is the lead-ing organisation in the Region in case of disaster control, and crisis and emergency management including CBRN interventions, where it provides full CBRN operational spectrum (command, detection, identifica-tion, stop of leakage, decontamination) in all incident command levels (strategic, tacti-cal, operational). FRBMSR has gathered ex-tensive expertise and experiences from in-terventions at CBRN incidents and has sub-stantial experience from large-scale exercis-es. FRBMSR has a chemical laboratory which provides analysis of samples. The experts from the laboratory cooperate with Fire Units while solving CBRN interventions.

FRBMSR is actively involved in developing new technologies and knowledge for rescue operations during various emergencies and cooperates with other authorities, institu-tions and producers in the Czech Republic and abroad. Regarding to a range of activi-ties and efforts to contribute in the develop-ment of professional dialogue among the various entities and professional networks to enhance the safety of EU citizen, FRBMSR has partici-pated in a number of projects and grants of the European Union. The Fire Rescue Brigade of Moravian-Silesian Region (FRBMSR), also Hasicsky zachranny sbor Moravskoslezskeho kraje (HZSMSK), was established in 2001, as one of 14 Regional Fire Rescue Brigades in the Czech Republic according to the new or-ganizational system in CZ. FRBMSR is an independent Regional Fire Authority with 22 full-time fire stations (1,000 full time uniform employees and 50 civilians) cov-ering an area of 5,500 km2 and protecting 1.3M people with 17,000 to 21,000 inter-ventions per year. From the operational point of view FRBMSR also controls more than 5,000 municipal volunteer fire fight-ers in the area of MSR, which are placed in 359 stations.

The main function of the FRBMSR is to protect life, health and property of citi-zens against fire, and to provide effective help in emergencies. Main activities are especially state fire supervision, interven-tions in firefighting, rescue and response of consequences of natural disasters and other emergencies, preventive education-al activities, public protection and provi-sion of humanitarian assistance.

TOXI-TRIAGE AT BRUSSELS

COU MEETING

MS20 First round of interviews with stakeholders, vul-nerable groups, cross-cultural and social factors, and communications has been completed.

HMOD gave two presentations to the COU meeting in Brussels 5-6 December 2017. ‘In-silico hypothesis genera-tion/CONOPS testing’ for conducting Field Evaluation Exer-cises and ‘Operational Specifications Workshop End-User Survey’ presenting the results of the survey questionnaire.

Both presentations are available to view on ownCloud.

TOXI-TRIAGE IN HELSINKI Paul Thomas presented ‘Triage by Breath Analysis’ a joint paper with LU and UEDIN at the International Workshop on Analysis of Chemical Warfare Agents to Mark the 20th Anniversary of the CWC in Helsinki 11-13 December 2017.
