Involves students in a range of enjoyable and significant experiences outside of the classroom chosen by the students themselves

Students maintain a log to record and reflect on the activities they undertake

CORE - Theory Of KnowledgeA two year course about critical thinking and inquiring into the process of knowing

Examines how we know what we claim to know

Assessment involves:A presentation on a knowledge issueAn essay from a list of 6 prescribed titles

CORE - Extended Essay

An independent, self-directed piece of research ending in a 4000 word academic essay

Enables students to investigate a topic of special interest that they have chosen themselves

Students work alongside a supervisor for guidance and support

Students gain a 1 to 7 in each subject (6 subjects)

AssessmentA Diploma will be awarded to students who:

Gain a minimum of 24 points

Gain a minimum of 12 points from their Higher Level subjects and a minimum of 9 points from their Standard Level subjects

Gain at least an D in their EE and TOK
