Whereas, the land specifications whereof are given in Annexure “A”to this notification, is required for public purposes i. e. for construction/upgradation of approach road from Railway Station, Katra to SMVDUniversity via Nangal (Length 7.00 KM) ; and

Whereas, on the basis of the indent placed by ExecutiveEngineer, PWD (R&B) Division, Katra vide his No. 4091-92 dated09-03-2011, notification under section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act wasissued by Collector, Land Acquisition (ACR), Reasi vide No. Col/LA/ACR/Rsi/15/441-45 dated 03-10-2015 ; and

Whereas, the Collector, Land Acquisition (ACR), Reasi reportedthat the notification issued by him under section 4(1) of the J&K State

Land Acquisition Act was served upon the interested persons, for filingobjections, if any, to the proposed acquisition but no objection was receivedwithin the stipulated period ; and

Whereas, the report furnished by Collector, Land Acquisition (ACR),Reasi vide his letter No. Col/LA/ACR/Reasi/15/493-496 dated21-10-2015, duly endorsed by Deputy Commissioner, Reasi vide hisNo. DC/Rsi/15-16/2543-46/SQ dated 21-12-2015, Divisional Commissioner,Jammu vide his letter No. 502/2545/Acq/Rly-SMVD/Pamote/Reasi/2015/2535-36 dated 15-01-2016 and Financial Commissioner (Revenue), J&Kvide his No. FC-LS/LA-4441/2016 dated 19-01-2016 has been examinedand it has been found that the land owners did not file any objection to theproposed acquisition ; and

Whereas, the Government is satisfied that the land particularswhereof are mentioned in Annexure “A” to this notification, is required forpublic purposes i. e. for construction/upgradation of approach road fromRailway Station, Katra to SMVD University via Nangal (Length 7.00 KM).

Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 6 of the J&K StateLand Acquisition Act, Samvat 1990, it is declared that the land measuring56 Kanals and 09 Marlas situated in Village Pamote, Tehsil Katra, DistrictReasi, details whereof are indicated in Annexure “A” to this notification isrequired for public purposes viz. for construction/upgradation of approachroad from Railway Station, Katra to SMVD University via Nangal(Length 7.00 KM). Further, the Collector, Land Acquisition (ACR), Reasiis directed under section 7 of the said Act to take order for acquisition ofthe said land after giving prescribed notice to the interested person(s) asrequired under the Land Acquisition Act/Rules thereunder.

However, the Collector concerned shall be personally responsiblefor proper title verification of all types of land involved in the case, inrespect of all the interested persons/rightful claimants in accordance withthe relevant laws/rules in force, while making final award in the case.
