Being Mortal Book Discussion - Introduction New! This introductory lecture is designed to provide an overview of the issues we will address in

the upcoming book study series in March focused on Being Mortal by Atul Gawande, MD. We will

discuss the issues and challenges that we face when moving from independence to dependence as we, or

low enrollment, you will be notified

promptly and given the opportunity to

switch to another

activity, obtain a letter of credit, or

obtain a full refund. If you have an

unforeseen

circumstance and cannot attend your

activity, we will refund your fee less

a $5 processing fee provided you notify

us at least 3 days

prior to the start of the activity. A letter

of credit only will be issued for refunds of

$10 or less.

Have a Heart and remember that we have a

box for MedWish donations here at the Senior

Center. They collect medical surplus supplies

for needy countries. Most requested items:

diapers, antibiotic ointments, antiseptics,

bandages, band aids, bar soap, gauze, hand

sanitizers, toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Class Scholarships Are Available Would you like to be a more active participant at the Orange Senior Center, but your current

financial situation makes that difficult? If you are a resident of the Orange School District,

the Senior Center Activity Resource Fund (S.C.A.R.F.) is here to help! Confidential inquir-

from the Ohio Dept. of Aging through WRAAA support the community van transportation service.

Anna Maria Adult Day Program at the Orange Senior Center

The Orange Senior Center has partnered with Anna Maria of Aurora to operate the Adult Day Program.

The Adult Day program offers participants a fun and enriching outing while in a

safe supervised environment. Family members are afforded a break from

caregiving responsibilities knowing their loved ones are enjoying themselves and

are being well cared for. The program may particularly benefit persons with early

memory impairment, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s or other physical or mental

limitations. It is also perfect for those needing supervised socialization

opportunities.

Monday to Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm

Experience our computer classes designed just for you! Let us be your guide into the often perplexing world of technology.

Computer Basics 101 New to computers?… This is the class for you! Learn how to use the keyboard, mouse and

monitor. We will review the mysterious terminology, talk about different operating systems,

browsers, and search engines. Bring your own laptop if you have one.
