Bound Lotus, Day 213, White Tantric Yoga #8.

It had been seven months since I had seen my lighthouse, the rea-son this and all my other books exist.

There’s a page in the beginning of my first book that has two wordson it. This book too, is For Catherine….

See them

A gain the lighthouses journeyed to the golden city on the water, the proverbial land of Ong Namo.

The sound of Wahe Guru echoed all across the land where the light-houses gathered, we band of six, we band of yogis.

Tears flowed free and carried the pain away as we surrendered andlet go of all that we were and all that we knew, before we found ourway back to the light, before we stood shoulder to shoulder againstthe wind and declared, “I am the lighthouse!”

Wahe Guru!

Page 10: The Journey HomeIn The Journey Home, Akal Sahai Singh reveals the nature of his deepening experiences with Kundalini Yoga, White Tantric and Bound Lotus. An avid Bound Lotus practitioner,

The answers are right in front of you, see them, and be the answerto every question that was ever asked.

Sat Nam.

By the lake

M ay keep up be thy mantra, Truth thy identity, Ek Ong Kaarthy state of mind, and Wahe Guru thy experience of life.

Keep up and touch the Infinite.

See God in all and be the lighthouse.

Keep up and be kept up.

Whether thy home is the land of the tall, tall buildings, the land ofmilk and honey, the highest mountain, the lowest valley or any-where in between, keep up and walk with God.

Bless you.

Sat Nam.

By the lighthouse

H ow many mountains would you climb, how far would youwalk, how far would you carry the bucket of water to know

God?

What if I told you, that you are God? What then?

Know thyself and know God.

My home is where my yoga mat and backpack are, we’ve sharedthe ultimate adventure, a journey to know ourselves, our journeyhome.

Is the backpack just a thing? Or is it my friend, God?

Everything just is, even the birds that came to the park to sing to usas we sat by the lighthouse. It’s all just another part of ourselvesgiving us a different experience of ourselves, a different perspectiveof our Infinite nature.

Share the journey.

Sat Nam.

Catherine

A t last we’ve come full circle, not only have my notebook and Ireunited in creation, but we’ve returned to where it all began

– the Yogi Bhajan tribute video, You are the Lighthouse.

To simply say that video changed my life is an understatementcomparable to saying the sun is bright.

Even a lighthouse needs inspiration, and that’s where the journeybegan, where I started writing about my experiences. From there itwas my friend Catherine’s constant encouragement, unwaveringsupport and even urging that led me to seek ever deeper experi-ences and then to share them with the world.

And here we are today, thanks to my friend, my sister of the Light,my lighthouse, Catherine.

Who?

W here does it come from, that deep flash of energy andexcitement at seeing one of your brothers or sisters, one of

your fellow Ghost Rancheros?

Who can explain it? Who can tell why we travel halfway across anentire continent simply because a friend invited us?

Who can tell of the energy that binds us together?

Who knows of such things?

Who was there when the light was born in each of us, that’s who. They who shared our table, our yoga mat, our shade, our light, ourdays in the sun and sand of the high desert.

Yes, there will always be new adventures in a new land, with newfriends to make and great hiking places just waiting to be discov-ered, but no amount of time or distance will ever separate my fel-low Ghost Rancheros and I.

Sat Nam.

How many

S un warms the pavement… soon the desert sands will call ushome. Summer Solstice approaches…

Clouds come to hide the sun, a deep rumble shakes the ground, another storm approaches….

Without night we would not know day, but why must we endurewar to know peace?

Why did we choose sides and draw lines in the sand?

The sun returns as the peace always does, but at what cost?

How many more wars will we suffer before we know peace?

How many more wars will we survive?

How many more wars until no one is left?

How many?

Now

O ne day we’ll have peace, when everyone lives and breaths SatNam. Be the lighthouse and show them the way, stir the energy

within them and show them the way to Wahe Guru.

Now, let’s make that day now.

Create a stirring so deep within the self of every person you meetthat they in turn become the lighthouse and together we’ll changethe world.

And the time is now.

Now let’s do some yoga!

Don’t sweat it

“M etaphors aside –”

“NO! Life itself is a metaphor. The herd moves en masse, obliviousto what lies outside its periphery. None of it is real, it is all just a

Smooth sailing

I f you think it’s impossible, it is, and you’ve already lost.

Japji seems a daunting proposition, but it’s easier than it looks. Thewords roll right off the tongue as time slows and the vibration car-ries the mind to Infinity.

Feelings of vastness pervade the senses as you move beyond space, time, everything….

Wherever the seas may carry you, may your sailing be smooth.

Hassles

B ound Lotus, Day 243.

Life begins where the hassles end, and unless you unplug from itthat’s all life is – just one big hassle….

The Kingdom of Heaven

T ennyson immortalized the deeds of the 600. Tolkien’s epicechoes the horrors he experienced and yet the madness

continues to this day, why?

Life isn’t a collection of what ifs, it just is.

Without pain would we ever know ecstasy?

Without the experience of pain what would drive us to push our-selves up off the floor?

Pain is a choice, from it comes the gift of experience. What else isthere?

What we experience is our choice. Grow beyond the pain, experi-ence ecstasy and touch Infinity!

Sat Nam.

Blessed be these days

T ime slows, life itself moves in slow motion as Japji flowsforth from the Infinite within. Thoughts travel to distant

places… the lighthouse reunion in the sun, with it three days ofWhite Tantric Yoga… Summer Solstice approaches….

The bond of shared experience ties we band of yogis for all time.An entire week to gather in the sun and keep up, a bond to last life-times.

“A thousand blessings my friend,” the man in black said, and I feeland know each and every one of them.

What will you do with your time in the sun?

Well?

Do like the bird says

N eutrality deepens and the splendor grows as the eyes trulyopen to the beauty of the world around us. Like a child

seeing for first time….

Bound Lotus, Day 250….

Sun shines infinitely brighter, sky an endless sea of blue, themajesty of nature….

A little bird even came to the balcony to share its song of peace andto exclaim, “Feel the energy in the air! Wahe Guru!” As it flew off Iheard it exclaim, “I’m going to change the world! Keep up!”

Do like the bird says.

Into the stillness

W ords form upon the page as we sit outside, my notebook, mypen and I, enjoying a cool afternoon breeze….

Stray thoughts drift away in the wind like bits of fuzz, free of theirhold over me….

When we quit asking, “Where does it end, what does it all mean?”and simply be in the stillness, that’s when the answers come.

The funny thing is, by then you don’t care what it means… howironic is that?

Then again, life is a series of ironies, energies, emotions, experi-ences and unknowns. That’s what makes it interesting.

So, who wants to do some yoga?

Rumblings and vibrations

D eep rumbling on the horizon… a storm makes its war on theEarth… nature seeking balance.

Great sheets of rain fall from the sky, as if the heavens had grownangry with the custodians of this world and thought to wash themaway and start over.

And then just as quickly it was gone, as if the sky had grown boredand said, “No let’s have sunshine now!”

No fanfare, no trumpets or horns, just light and the vibration….

“Where does the vibration of the universe come from?” “Every-thing vibrates.” “Why?” “Because it’s energy.”

“So if I’m energy that means I have my own vibration too.”

The Journey Home 9

Page 18: The Journey HomeIn The Journey Home, Akal Sahai Singh reveals the nature of his deepening experiences with Kundalini Yoga, White Tantric and Bound Lotus. An avid Bound Lotus practitioner,

“Correct.”

“And if everything is energy, and everything is God, where does thesound come from?”

“God.”

*rolls eyes*

“What?”

“You know what I meant. Why does the vibration make a sound?”

“You’ve answered your own question. All energy vibrates, just notat the same frequency. Storms are a sign of a mind in tumult, a lackof neutrality. Now, quit asking so many questions and go do someyoga!”

Sat Nam.

Summer Solstice

T o chant with a thousand people high above the desert, to sitwith the Golden Lady, to bind themselves into the symbol for

Infinity, to dance with angels and soar with eagles.

To smile and laugh in the sun to recreate one’s life, in an instant tochoose and become more, that’s Summer Solstice in a nutshell.

Then again, maybe we’re all nuts….

Victory

J une 6th, 2006, a day to be remembered, a day of sacrifice andtriumph!

Bound Lotus, Day 256.

For months the four inches that had separated my forehead fromthe floor seemed like four miles, a distant goal only to be dreamtof… and then in an instant – poof – there it was, all with the deci-sion to do it.

What had once been Earth shattering pain literally became nothingas the entire universe stood still and combined with the posture andthe Ray Man Shabad to grind the ego into dust.

With a brilliant flash the universe itself threw open the doors tounderstanding and shattered outdated concepts such as limits andpain. We were both reborn in that instant.

Now I understand how Yogi Bhajan was born at zero and died atone….

You never stop learning, you never stop seeking the light of truth, you always seek a higher experience, no matter what you alwayskeep up, and of course, you always serve others.

Sat Nam.

Ultimate awakening

H eat builds as energy pours through the figure eight of life –Infinity.

Watch the universe being born as you surrender to the posture. Sac-rifice the ego in exchange for understanding, let go of attachment

The Journey Home 11

Page 20: The Journey HomeIn The Journey Home, Akal Sahai Singh reveals the nature of his deepening experiences with Kundalini Yoga, White Tantric and Bound Lotus. An avid Bound Lotus practitioner,

and receive prosperity, shed fear and be blessed with universalawareness. Perfect the posture and transcend all pain.

To do or not….

To have the eternal light ever guide your way, a gentle breeze uponthy face, a mountain stream to drink from…

Bless thyself and blessed be thy days.

Do, and bless yourself with the ultimate awakening.

Sat Nam.

Musings from the balcony

T rees dance in the breeze, keeping time with some great unseenrhythm and I can’t help but wonder where the winds of

change have carried my fellow Ghost Rancheros….

Are they still doing their sadhana? Are they keeping up? Who’scoming to Solstice? Where and how is everybody? What became ofeveryone after we went our separate ways? Some, I see and hearfrom all the time, others seem to have vanished but never to be for-gotten.

Who could ever forget our days together in the sun? No one, if Ihave anything to say about it!

Wherever the winds of change may take thee, a thousand blessingsmy friends.

Of weather and man

T o what level is nature aware of man’s existence?

Trees waver as the sky roils and the ground shakes, yet anotherstorm thunders through.

Clouds form angry shapes as my notebook and I wonder if naturecares that man exists….

Animals know of course, but what about Mother Nature?

Wind, rain and lightning strike with a vengeance, as if divine retri-bution, cleansing the land of the ills inflicted upon it. And yet theclouds eventually fade, the sun returns and again we have peace….

Without storms would we truly appreciate the sunshine? Maybewar, like storms, is inevitable so we appreciate peace.... But what ofkarma?

Heavy thoughts… far too heavy to carry this close to Solstice….The entire world’s been invited to Summer Solstice, a scant thou-sand will make the journey….

What if though, what if that thousand went back to their corner ofthe world and shined so bright that they each in turn drew a thou-sand to them, who one by one stood tall and declared, “I am thelighthouse!” What if?

To be at peace or to become the storm is a choice we all face everymoment of every single day. Choose peace and be the lighthouse.

Imponderables of light

B its of pollen drift about on the wind, spreading out to createlife, taking thoughts of light and dark with them. The fate of

the universe doesn’t hang in the balance of the next two minutes, itjust is, as it is with all things.

Thought fades, replaced by divine neutrality….

Red sun rises this morn, bringing prosperity with it.

Rise up and meet it.

Rise up and meet your destiny head on.

Sat Nam.

Open your eyes

A n angel visited me on this eve of leaving for Solstice. Shetook me by the hand as we walked on the sun and the

moon….

We had just sat down for a ride on a comet when she turned andwinked at me.

She snapped her fingers and suddenly there we were on the moun-tain… Summer Solstice at last! Wahe Guru!

As she vanished from sight she exclaimed, “Now open your eyesand fulfill your destiny!”

Service and sacrifice

R ow upon row of crosses… as far as the eye can see. Now thatis why I write.

Some serve willingly, some don’t, but what else is there?

It’s all about the choices we make and what we do with the time weare given.

What will you do with your time?

In the final analysis when the question is, “Did you uplift enough?”what will your answer be?

Well?

No more

A bearded angel came to the mountain to share his wisdom withus.

Eyes closed, he spoke as if reading stone tablets scribed with God’sown hand.

Every so often he blinked, the tablet changed, and more wisdompoured forth.

Vibration and energy rise as we unite to grow and serve others.

Everything is experience, nothing else exists.

No more rows of crosses, no more hillside monuments to violence, there is a better way.

A cool breeze washed over us as we bathed in the sound current ofthe Infinite.

The vibration rose as it spoke to us, “Truth is The Word. Then, now,and for all time, Truth is The Word. Sat Nam.”

The angel of Truth

A n angel led the way through the darkness with a light sobright that as she shined night became day and the stars hid

themselves as not even they could match her brilliance.

Blessed indeed are the days of this summer of prosperity, the sum-mer of awakening and liberation.

To bathe in the light and walk on air, even what had once seemedbeyond impossible becomes nothing as you become Sat Nam.

Minutes pass in the blink of an eye….

Wrapped into the symbol for Infinity for 31 minutes nothing elseexists but the posture and the energy. Shuniya, zero, nothing but theInfinite.

To think of a thing and cause it to happen, to live and walk as God,to understand all things, to be Sat Nam, now that is Wahe Guru!

Laughter echoed throughout the heavens as she replied, “You’llalways have me. Let go and change the world. Sat Nam.”

The quest for perfection, ongoing as ever.

The ego knows its usefulness is at an end and that it has a date withthe Infinite.

The quest though is to hold that space where God and I are one, tobe in the moment, selfless and considerate, ever thoughtful andkind.

“Sat Nam,” she said as she flew away, “focus, clear your mind andrelax into the moment. The quest is for shuniya, not to think but tolive.”

Not to think but to live….

Too much thinking, too much ego related nonsense.

Ego, you have to go. You’re who’s afraid. Truth is my name.

Sat Nam.

Questions of life

C oncepts and metaphors of life aside, it’s your life, your giftfrom God. What will you create, knowing you can always do

more?

Were God to ask, “What did you do with your life?” what wouldyour answer be? Did you inspire others to reach far greater heightsthan yourself? Or did you uplift everyone around you? Did youhold the space and become an outpouring of creativity? Or maybeeven all of the above?

Epic adventures in far off lands? Love beyond belief? Prosperityand abundance beyond measure? Or all of the above? Wahe Guru!

Wherever your journeys take you, may you reach those distantshores, with a little help from your friends!

Sat Nam.

Our new friend

B ound Lotus, Day 388, our first day with our new friend.

A new notebook, a new beginning.

To some it might be just a notebook, like any other, to my pen and Iit’s a gateway to creation.

Neither of us is the source of what we write, it just comes to meand together, we create.

We write of finding love and our never ending search for Truth.

“Sat Nam!” my notebook and pen reply in unison.

Visibly identical to the last, this new notebook is totally different. Itbreathes and exudes prosperity, new energy, new life….

Sat Nam.

Time

S teady rain falls this cool eve, friend’s father’s words echo outacross the Infinite.

“I ain’t good for nothing anymore,” he said….

If I live a million years I will never forget his words or the casualway he spoke his Truth.

It was as if he had said, “I like Fall.”

Color abounds, reds and yellows fall from the sky, the pain of thatone sentence hangs….

I pray that I never forget, I pray, ever thankful, for all my dearfriends and family, my health, peace and prosperity, the gift of mywriting, for everything in my life, especially for my Truth. I am thelighthouse, I am the forklift.

Sat Nam.

Notes

C ool autumn eve and the winds of change blow strong….

Prosperity or lack, like life, it’s a choice.

I’m reminded of all those times I’ve heard someone say they,“Don’t have any money.” For them the glass is already empty….

My notebook is the notebook of Prosperity and as such refuses towrite of lack, and pen, my pen wants to dance and sing, “WaheGuru!”

*scratches head* Notes?

“Better than Notey!”

*laughter*

Wahe Guru! Wahe Guru! Wahe Guru!

Stones of life

W e journeyed to the Great River, the River of Life, to shed ourworries….

My notebook wanted to sit and watch the water while my penjumped right in, splashing about and singing, “Wahe Guru!” “Comeon Notes!” it shouted invitingly.

“Hello!? I’m a book!”

I picked up a flat stone, my pen named it “Worry” and we sent itskipping across the water….

We picked out the largest rock we could find and named it “Ego.” Itmade a mighty splash and quickly sank, we were rid of it….

Vibration rose, in pitch and volume as we let the river wash all ourworries away.

When at last we were through we sat down and watched the ripplesof our worries fade to nothing….

The river flows on, just like life. Flow and be the lighthouse.

“So what?” my pen quickly points out, “I can dance and sing WaheGuru! Wahe Guru! Wahe Guru!” as it dances all around the house.

After a long pause, my notebook replies, “I was once a tree….”

We all sigh and I reply, “I wish you guys could have been therewith me today to see the hawk and hear it screech.”

“I was a tall tree, eagles used to sit in my branches, squirrels wouldclimb all through my limbs….”

Mellower now, my pen replies, “Life is change Notes and we needyou.”

My pen and notebook are inseparable, they do everything together,I definitely couldn’t do this without them.

B ound Lotus, Day 410….

Ego, fear, doubt, indeed all negativity vanish in the fire of keepingup, unparalleled prosperity follows in its wake….

I saw five squirrels this day, one sat up, watching me as intently as Iwatched it. Mutual fascination and respect for the sacredness of alllife….

All life is sacred, from those squirrels we could learn so much fromto the blades of grass we sometimes must walk on, all life is sacred.

All life is sacred.

All life is sacred.

Sat Nam.

Iwas healed the instant I chose it, my throat blossomed and greatrivers of energy poured throughout my body. Creativity flowed

What then?

Everything was different, “Thoughts become things,” truly was thekey to life’s greatest secret, what then?

I’d at last truly become the answer, what then?

The Journey Home 61

Page 70: The Journey HomeIn The Journey Home, Akal Sahai Singh reveals the nature of his deepening experiences with Kundalini Yoga, White Tantric and Bound Lotus. An avid Bound Lotus practitioner,

Size matters not to the universe, the only difference is in your mind.

I’d healed myself in an instant, the principle was sound, I could cre-ate anything in an instant given the proper shift in thinking.

Letting go included letting go of all the old ways of thinking, thatwhich had so limited my existence.

Prosperous or not, your experience of prosperity stems from yourthoughts of it. Present tense, feel it, know that you deserve it andBE prosperous, in all areas of life.

Thoughts of lack, give you that, thoughts of abundance create thatjust as strong thoughts of anything you dislike create that verything, so too does intense joy, love, peace, happiness, prosperity, etccreate more of the same.

So I have to ask you, what’s on your mind?

Well?

Lighthouse man

“S at Nam lighthouse man,” she wrote, a friend and fellow yogiwho my words touched….

Four words that speak volumes about the Infinite capacity within usall, four words that inspire the, “lighthouse man,” and remind methat no one is, “just,” anything.

See yourself as Infinite, BE Infinite and be the lighthouse.

I’d chosen this path, I’d chosen this life….

I didn’t like the results of some of those choices so I made newones….

The Journey Home 79

Page 88: The Journey HomeIn The Journey Home, Akal Sahai Singh reveals the nature of his deepening experiences with Kundalini Yoga, White Tantric and Bound Lotus. An avid Bound Lotus practitioner,

I chose peace and prosperity, to walk with God and understand –everything – to become the eternal light, to embrace love at everyopportunity, to forgive and bless those who trespass against me,ever thankful for every aspect of my existence.

Here’s to new choices.

Sat Nam.

Revelations

I stood on the precipice of life, God awaiting my arrival on theother side. “I am the bridge,” I said as I stepped out over the

unknown, trusting in the unseen, and I flew with angels.

Scribbles upon the pages of life, footsteps along the path, a journeyinto the unknown, a journey across the abyss.

God waited on the other side….

I stood on the edge of life, in utter darkness, God but a distant pin-point of light.

Part of me wanted to die, another part wished only to cry and everyfiber of my being screamed, “NOW! TAKE THAT STEP NOW!!!”

I’d chosen this path, I’d specifically asked to be purified in the firesof God’s love, I’d asked to be burned to a golden haze, did I expectit to be easy?

Every thought, worry or desire I’d ever had fell into the abyss as Iclosed my eyes and took that step. Unto the light I floated, it reallywas as easy as a choice, a new choice.

What did you choose?

Love

U nfinished poems, so much life yet to live….

Dreams become answers in the angel’s playground, once a physicalplace, now a state of mind, the ultimate statement of my being….

Choices

B eing there was a choice, letting go was a choice….

Fear, anger and doubt all fell into the abyss as I jumped from thecliff and soared with angels, en-lightened of all earthly burdens.

Infinite energy flowed through me, along with an abundance ofprosperity, peace and love.

Life truly flowed once I made that decision, and yes, part of medied right there on that cliff, and part of me cried, but the rest of merose up into God’s arms, carried unto the divine light.

One step

I dreamt of dreams so grand I dared not dream them, they allcame true the moment I took that step and freed my mind….

My soul had always been free, it was just waiting for the rest of meto catch up… and catch up it did as we took that leap of faithtogether.

Sat Nam.

P rofound, to read a thing and wonder, “Who wrote that?” Idid….

What did you write upon the pages of your life?

Happiness? Love? Peace? Service? Gratitude? Prosperity? Abun-dance?

I wrote that, and then it happened….

I specifically wrote, “And I walked with God,” my highestdream….

Words formed upon the pages of my life, a collection of mythoughts and dreams… gone are so many irrelevant things… divinelove and light left behind in their wake. I wrote that and more, andthen I lived it.

So I have to ask you, what have you written upon the pages of yourlife?

Well?

Expectations

I lost my mind along the way, life itself had seemingly driven memad… but then I realized it wasn’t my mind anyway, it all

belonged to God….

So what did it matter? I had asked for all of this, I’d specificallychosen the road less traveled, what did I expect?

Directions

B ecome still like the wind you must, move without moving… bethere… be the lighthouse… be the answer not the question…

be the forklift….

It was all right there in front of me, right across the Infinite chasmof life.

The chasing about was pointless and there was no room for it in mylife.

I stood on the edge of life and realized I had to die, the old me thatis, it had to go, it had held me back for far too long… into the abyssit went.

Everything fell away, lifetimes of pain, anguish, sorrow, stress, agony, fear, all manner of dis-ease fell away as I took that first stepand realized my destiny.

It wasn’t about where I’d been, it was about where I was going…across that expanse to walk with God….

Where are you going?

Mayhaps they walked these same trails, centuries past as they livedamidst the Infinite wilderness. Their children probably played inthis very creek, perhaps enchanted by the waters flow through these7 pools as it swirls along.

What of the peoples who once roamed this land… so little of themremains, would that we were in such harmony with nature….

Sat Nam.

Warmth

C old chases the warmth away as winter approaches….

Warmth of mind, body, spirit, and especially warmth of heart tomelt the cold away.

Cold, I realized was a state of mind. Not that it was something onecould choose not to experience, but far simpler in that one couldsimply be warm, no matter how cool it might be.

Be warm and be.

Hit my head today, hard, big knot right next to my eye… areminder to focus.

I see where this leads… distractions abound in this the game oflife….

Again the leaves turn and settle to the ground, squirrels race to andfro… sentient universe at work.

I dreamt I was as vast as the Infinite itself and the Earth was a tinymarble I held in my hand. I opened my eyes and there was the mar-ble!

As I peered into it, I realized, it was time to go….

Greatness

Iwonder, what is greatness?

Is it the peace one brokered, or mayhaps the answer lay in thehearts one touched, or the light one brought unto the world, ormaybe even the life one lived.

I realized, it wasn’t the body that needed healing, it was the mind, itwas my thoughts that held be back, kept me from attaining…enlightenment.

Was it really that lofty of a goal? Why did I hesitate to speak of it?

It was my thoughts about the goings on in my life, it was the dis-tractions of this, that and the other thing and my attachments tothem that had held me back….

It was time to re-evaluate my life, if it didn’t elevate or uplift it hadto go off the cliff and into the river….

M ind wanders, over having goals, finding enlightenment, loveand prosperity, but isn’t it the other way around? That when

you attain the proper state of mind, those things find you?

I began asking myself, “Does this improve my future?” of everythought, every thing I did. When I dropped the things that didn’t,Japji ran through my mind, seemingly of its own accord.

Then it hit me, work for all, recycle the landfill!

If it’s to be, everything will fall into place just like the idea ☺

Let the pieces fit themselves together.

D on’t make your last words be, “I could’ve done more.”

See it through and we’ll see where it lands us.
