Simon Kenton Chapter
In Sept 2017 the suburb of Cincinnati, Green township lost one of their Police dogs in the line of duty. Jack Sinkking a
member of my Veterans Group the USS Hornet Breakfast Group suggested to the Green Township Police Department that
we be allowed to purchase the re-placement police dog. Lt. Hill said that would be great that the total replacement amount
would be $10,000 dollars and that included the training.
Thanks to a major donor the we were able to raise the total amount. We chose the name Raider after Doolittle Raiders, Tom
Griffin and Lt. Col. Richard E. Cole. (Ray Hughes—Blue Air Force shirt)
