The KIBAAN

By Audric B. Vitangcol of GROUP 3, 5-B

What are Kibaans?

Kibaans are mythical creatures.

According to stories, they are little gnomes with gold shiny teeth that light their paths. They provide magical items to their human friends.

W o w ! Wouldn't you l i k e t o b e their friend?

They reside in trees with many fireflies flickering in the dark and cooks at sundown that smells like fresh crushed grass on a dewy day.

They have sharp eyes, have high pitch and sweet singing voice.

Bet they can easily w i n i f t h e y audition in The Voice Kids!

The kibaans are known to be nomads. They keep on walking and travelling to search for something. Some said that they like getting stuff as buttons, pins, coins, rice and even clothes. They put these items inside their big pouch that they treasure so much. If a person is able to find the pouch and hide it from the kibaans, they would tell you where to find treasures of the most precious gold and metals in exchange for their precious pouch.

Hmmm... I think I know where the pot of gold is...

T h e i r Weaknesses

Just like all dwarves and gnomes, the kibaans dislike salt and spices, but the distinct weakness that they have is that of pretty girls with long hair. They would even stop to stare at pretty girls for hours! In the early days, when a girl looks very pretty, she should not flaunt it for fear that a kibaan would might get interested to court and marry her.

kibaans...

How do the K i b a a n s look like?

This is how they actually look .... BUT ...

.... through our ingenuity and resourcefulness, our group (Group 3), made our own version of a Kibaan from scratch... (literally!)

With the use of an old plastic conta iner, we made the base on which our Kibaan will sit on. We placed some sticks to represent the tree where the Kibaan lives.

We painted the base and then, o u t o f s o m e more old stuff, we molded our K i b a a n a n d painted it with dark colors.

Finally, we assigned some tiny objects to represent our Kibaan's limbs, eyes, etc..... and.....

.... tadaaa! Our very own KIBAAN!

That's all folks! I hope that you did not just learn from this

presentation, but you were also entertained! Thank you for
