CLUB NEWS: UPCOMING INTERCITY EVENT

“To make a difference, you have to make a start” Tina Murray’s motto

RCKP is looking forward to hosting the up-coming Intercity Event at West Beach Surf Life Saving

Club on Tues 26th Feb.

Our club member, Tina Murray, is the guest speaker. Tina’s childhood dream of travelling to Ant-arctica has incredibly propelled her to build toilets in remote areas of West Africa.

Since 2012, ‘Tina has travelled with a local, like a local’, in Ghana, and has seen firsthand the dev-astating effects that lack of education still has on the children there.

Currently 3000 Ghanaian schools are at risk of being closed down due to lack of toilets and water. Through Tina’s amazing story, we can discover the incredible impact that supplying sanitary facil-ities can make on the health, future and economies in local communities.

Warren Hobbs (adapted for the KP Krier)

Tina during her most recent visit to Ghana, and the children who inspire her.
