  • Preface I cannot remember a time when music was not extremely important in my life. I began writing poems and melodies in my teens. I was particularly interested in “God songs.” I had little religious or musical training, and yet, the desire persisted. I simply prayed for guidance, trusting the Lord to lead me. As an adult, I also became vitally interested in education and the learning process. I followed a career in Christian education. In the process, I learned that music and drama reach out to every learning style. I continued to write poems, skits and songs for use in class, chapel, and church. My goal was to teach God’s Word in a meaningful way to help students and others in their understanding and their daily walk. Although I had no formal musical education, I turned to a respected colleague, Will Goldstein, who had a great deal of musical training and talent. His contributions to all of my books have been indispensable. I thank God for seeing us through.

    In His Name,

    Jeanne Brickman

  • A Note From The Publisher It has always been a pleasure to work with Jeanne Brickman in her projects. This particular songbook, The King’s Highway, is a lovely collection of songs that leads us on a journey into the path of what it means to walk with the Lord Jesus as a Christian, beginning with our acceptance and proclamation of the Christ Child as our Redeemer, trusting that He will then assist us and protect us on our journey, the peace and comfort that follows while following Christ, the power prayer has in a Christian’s life, provisions for the dangers we will encounter along the way, and encouragement to walk the straight and narrow path while helping others on their journey, and finally a call to worship and restoration of faith in God that America was founded on. I trust these songs will touch your heart as they have mine.

A Servant of Christ, Will Goldstein
