    Schedule for the Kings Head

    BarA vital part of the refurbishment works will be those to the bar area at the front of the pub. It will be key to set the cosy and traditional tone of the venue whilst indicating the quality of food and drink on offer. Works will include:• A full redecoration in a traditional style with subtle

    contemporary touches and a high quality of finish throughout.• The existing timber and stone floor will be deep cleaned,

    sanded, stained and sealed, restoring it to its original charm.• The existing fireplace will be fully refurbished, creating a

    fully working fire, with an antique mirror incorporated above, providing a focal point for the bar.

    • New fixed seating will be installed and upholstered in high quality materials.

    • New decorative pendant lighting will be added, together with new furniture and bric-a-brac, to completely transform this bar area into a cosy, traditional snug bar perfect for enjoying a drink by the fire.

    Bar Servery The bar servery will be significantly altered and adapted to allow visibility from the front entrance in the bar, through to the dining area at the rear. Works will include:• A full redecoration.• The bar fronts will be sanded and stained or painted.• The bar tops will be sanded, stained and sealed.• A new back bar fitting will be incorporated.• An oversized, decorative pendant light will be fitted.• A new illuminated bottle display will be added.Dining AreaThe dining area will form a key part of the Kings Head’s new positioning as a venue that offers great quality food and drinks, emphasising the comfortable and cosy tone overall. Works will include:• The entrance from the side elevation on Union Street will be

    widened to double doors. These doors will be glazed to allow full visibility to passers-by directly into the dining area and theatre kitchen, significantly improving kerb appeal.

    • A full redecoration in a new colour scheme that is traditional in style, but with contemporary touches and a high quality of finish throughout.

    • The existing traditional features, including the stone wall, will be emphasised and highlighted.

    • An open pass to the kitchen with a tiled floor apron will be created to highlight the new food offer.

    • A new seating arrangement, with new fixed seating.• A new fireplace will be added.• The existing timber flooring will be sanded and stained with
