We are counting every blessing…

...Today and always! Pictured above is Laura Hahn-Conti and her five year old daughter, Riley, who both sang for us Sunday, Decem-ber 30th. Their song, “Counting Every Blessing”, was truly a treat for us all! Laura is the daughter of Tom and Diane Jones. We had double the musical treat that Sunday as Tex and Mary Schutz also performed on December 30th. Not only did they sing for us during our Worship Service, but also hosted our Fifth Sunday Sing on the evening of December 30th! Tex and Mary were joined by Leigh Ann Teer Hughes, the daughter in law of Merle Hughes. We are sincerely blessed at Lakeside with the musical talents of mem-bers (and their children!). Make it a plan to never miss these special presentations as they are God’s blessings to us. Please see page 2 for more pictures from the Fifth Sunday Sing!

Fifth Sunday Sing-Dec 30th

What a joyful noise we made! Tex & Mary Schutz hosted yet another spirit-fulled performance and were joined by Leigh Ann Teer Hughes. Tex & Mary opened with “Country Church House” and “Nail-Scarred Hands”, and Leigh Ann started her set with “Satisfied”, which really showcased her singing talents! She sang a beautiful rendition of “O Holy Night”. Each song was heart-felt and up-lifting. She ended with “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot”. We were so blessed to have had her here! It is always a treat to hear Tex & Mary play and they performed “Far-side Banks of Jordan” and “Jesus, Hold my Hand”. The Sanctuary just hummed with the beautiful tones and feelings! We ended the performance with a touching tribute sing-along en-titled “Friends” lead by Merle Hughes:

“And friends are friends forever If the Lord’s the Lord of them

And a friend will not say “Never” ‘Cause the welcome will not end.

Our next Sing will be March 31st. Please make plans to come!
