The Lame Monkey Manifesto Vol1 5 ($1 from PO Box 8763 Knshyoxville TN 37996-48(0) Its a relief to see a college tabloid thats supported neither by the administration or Joe Coors Yes this is an underground paper and though they do publish somemiddot miscellaneous humor and stoshyries they also publish the sort of things that make undergrounds great- things like unofficial class evaluations and ideas of screwing up the parking ticket system This could almost make going to the U ofTennesshyseebear~ble

vantages of being Lame Yes the Monkey is lame in that

there are certain constraints placed upon it that arise from the fact that many of the things that the paper is trying to do are frowned upon by greater authorities such as the lJTfM Overlords and Student Apathy our two deadliest poisons Thus the Monkey is not capable of directlyshyconfronting its adversaries and is therefore lame in a sense

The name of the paper properly explained we continue with our statement of purpose

going to do what little we can to stir things up around here

The Lame Monkey Manifesto Vol1 5 ($1 from PO Box 8763 Knshyoxville TN 37996-48(0) Its a relief to see a college tabloid thats supported neither by the administration or Joe Coors Yes this is an underground paper and though they do publish somemiddot miscellaneous humor and stoshyries they also publish the sort of things that make undergrounds great- things like unofficial class evaluations and ideas of screwing up the parking ticket system This could almost make going to the U ofTennesshyseebear~ble

vantages of being Lame Yes the Monkey is lame in that

there are certain constraints placed upon it that arise from the fact that many of the things that the paper is trying to do are frowned upon by greater authorities such as the lJTfM Overlords and Student Apathy our two deadliest poisons Thus the Monkey is not capable of directlyshyconfronting its adversaries and is therefore lame in a sense

The name of the paper properly explained we continue with our statement of purpose

going to do what little we can to stir things up around here

5 Lastly we hope that Tle Lame Monkey will provide a lever for the seemingly powerless UT student body We place in the hands of the UT students what forces publishing may offer that perhaps they may see to it that changes are made in their Unishyversity and environment to better suit them
