THE LENTENSCRATCH-OFF CALENDAR

How it works as an Evangelical ToolEach day the parishioner would scratch off theappropriate date on the Lenten Calendar toreveal a task to be undertaken for that day.These tasks are very simple and achievable andare related to the Gospel message of each dayeg: 2nd March “Give someone a surprise” 25February “Pray a grace before meal”. The act ofscratching off the calendar to reveal a taskengages the parishioner. It makes one excitedas they wait in anticipation to find out whateach new task will be.

How it works as a Fund RaiserParishioner would donate €1/£1 per card. Aftercosts for the production of the Lenten Cards aretaken out, the parish would be able to donateup to 70% of the monies received to a charityof their choice. (Costs for purchase of the cardsare as shown below).
