The 48th annual Lewis/
Wargo Family Reunion is
set for Sunday, July 18,
2010 at the Monroeville
Community Park. Pavilion
#2 is reserved for our gala.
This is the same park as
last year’s reunion, how-
ever the pavilion has
changed
Registration begins at
10:30 AM. Please be sure
to visit the registration
table upon your arrival.
Besides tendering your
dues, there will be several
points of interest that will
be addressed for your at-
tention.
Lunch is scheduled for 12
Noon. This will take the
form of our traditional cov-
ered dish meal. See the
Food Committee report for
more information. The
Ways & Means Commit-
tee will be holding the
first of it’s hourly Gift
Card drawings as lunch
commences. Please re-
fer to their report for
further details.
As our event
moves into the
early afternoon,
the essence of the reunion
takes shape. An afternoon
of general fellowship will
be complemented with ac-
tivities from the Games
Committee, as well as a
few undertakings by the
Ways & Means Committee.
By late afternoon, we
should all be ready for the
dinner meal, and shortly
after it’s completion, a very
important reunion meeting
will be held. Plans for the
2012, 50th reunion celebra-
tion will discussed. After-
wards, some lucky family
member will win a $50.00
gift card door prize. So,
read on & get ready to go!

A LITTLE NEWS ABOUT THE DUES
Despite the economy’s ten-
dency to allow for periodic
price increases for just
about anything imaginable,
reunion dues for 2010 will
remain intact. Families
and couple will be assessed
$25.00; singles will pay
$15.00. As a friendly re-
minder, singles are consid-
ered those aged 21 years or
older (unless still engaged
in under-graduate studies),
regardless of their resi-
dency status. A couple is
considered to be a married
or engaged twosome, or a
pair of adults in a commit-
ted relationship. Child or
teenage guests of families
will be assessed an addi-
tional $8.00 per person for
the host family, Guest
adult couples and families
will pay usual reunion as-
sessments. These fees
cover a portion of the ex-
penses incurred annually
to support the success of
the reunion.

A FAMILY TRADITION SINCE****1962****
Co-Chairs Nancy Cannon & Kate
Lewis are planning on the traditional
covered dish luncheon, as provided by
our family members in
attendance. The tradition
is that a family or group of
families prepare and bring
a dinner-style dish that
will be placed on a common
table for all to sample and
share. Whether you
choose a meat or vegetar-
ian dish, all creations are
welcomed. As a group ef-
fort, you may want to include a picnic-
style salad, or a vegetable side dish.
No limit is placed on your imagina-
tion.
The committee
will provide the
evening dinner
meal, which will
include pulled,
barbecued beef
sandwiches and a
jerk chicken dish.
In addition to
that, any and all
leftover dishes
from lunch will be available at this
evening meal.
Nancy and Kate would like everyone
to know that their committee will be
providing all the necessary utensils,
plates and cups for our convenience.
In recent reunions, there has been
some confusion about the availability
of these tools. To avoid any further
confusion this year, I repeat that plas-
tic ware, plates, cups, and napkins
will be provided for our use at both
meals.
So why wait. Make some contacts and
start planning your favorite dishes!
ways pleased to welcome and accom-
modate out-of-towners to their resi-
dence. So, if you find the desire to
make the trek to this year’s reunion,
and find yourself in need of some-
where to stay, then call Jackie at 724-
217-6805, or Bill Lewis at 412-824-
0668.
(Ed. Note: The photos to your right
are not very pristine or very flattering,
but they are who you think they are!)
For the third year in a row, some fam-
ily members have opened up their
hearts and their homes for those who
wish to attend the reunion, but find
that being from out of town or out of
state may pose accommodation prob-
lems. Jackie and Rich Ludwick want
you to know that a 14 x 82 trailer
house on their property, behind their
main residence, is currently unoccu-
pied and available for the weekend’s
usage. Bill and Fran Lewis are al-

are favorite individual choices. The
beverage committee will be providing
Coors Lite and regular Yuengling
brands for our consumption. I think
you’ll agree that it’s just not feasible
to anticipate the requests of the
masses. If these brands are not suit-
able for your particular taste buds,
then we encourage you to provide your
own favorites. Finally, if these bever-
ages aren’t enough for your satisfac-
tion, then perhaps an ice cold bottle of
water will do the trick. As you can
see, an effort is there to satisfy your
liquid requirements. Oh, and did I
mention coffee for those who prefer
the hot beverage variety? As a final
note, we ask everyone to be mindful of
their manners by allowing for the
proper disposal of all canned bever-
ages, as well as not abandoning any
unfinished drinks. Thank you!
Drew Lewis, Suzannah Cannon, and
Alicia Lewis are charged with provid-
ing our day with a variety of liquid
refreshments, intended to quench the
thirsts and soothe the souls. A vari-
ety of sodas will be available, as well
as lemonade and iced tea. No picnic,
or reunion for that fact, could be com-
plete without an offering of cold, re-
freshing beer. Now, there are just as
many favorite brand beers as there

Bill & Fran Lewis (l.), along with
Jackie Ludwick (r.) & husband Rich
are ready to welcome you to Pittsburgh
Traditionally a great afternoon filler
at our reunion, games provide a de-
lightful form of entertainment for all
ages. One of the hardest working com-
mittees in our arsenal, Chairperson
Jackie Ludwick has seized the oppor-
tunity to make this year’s mid-
reunion time frame a memorable one.
Assuming that you know the spirit of
TV’s new game show “Minute To Win
It!”, Jackie and her committee has
fashioned a number of games after the
ones used on that show. Even now, at
press time, Jackie will not divulge any
of her planned activities, but is willing
to assure us that not only will these
games be challenging and entertain-
ing, it will certainly be fun for all
those who participate. And her com-
mittee is willing to add fuel to the
speculation by offering some unusual
prizes for the winners. All they ask
from us is to take a minute, and try to
win it!
The committee will also present a
number of the more traditional games
used in the past, especially ones fa-
vored by our younger family members.
These include, but are not limited to,
balloon toss and toilet paper roll.
So, if you thought you might be bored,
forget about it! Have Fun!

your choice. Any membership cards
purchased after the 1PM drawing will
be advanced 2 tickets for each of the
remaining 4 drawings, with $100.00
of gift cards still up for grabs. The
$25.00 gift cards being offered are: 12
noon - Red Lobster; 1PM - Home De-
pot; 2PM - Applebee’s; 3PM - Bed,
Bath & Beyond; 4PM - Outback; and
5PM - Olive Garden.
The significance of purchasing a mem-
bership card will be realized when
card holders will be offered opportuni-
ties to purchase additional tickets, at
3 for $1.00, for each of the remaining
drawings, except for the Red Lobster
draw (noon). You MUST be a card-
carrying member to purchase ANY
additional tickets for the remaining
drawings. There is NO LIMIT on how
many membership cards you can pur-
chase; NO LIMIT on extra tickets pur-
chased; NO LIMIT on how many of
the drawings you can win!
Realizing that this is something com-
pletely new and different , Carol &
Chuck will be available for further
explanations if they are needed
There will also be a “Themed Basket”
drawing and a “Basket-of-Cheers”
drawing. Finally, there will be the
ever popular “Chinese Auction” of new
articles of interest, like candles, kids
toys or games, bath and/or beauty
products, or anything that your imagi-
nation will allow you to donate to-
wards this cause.
Speaking of donations, the success of
these ventures is wholly dependent on
the generosity of our family members.
On-line recipients of this letter, please
open the additional attachments for
further details. U.S. mail recipients,
additional pages are included for your
reading and consideration. Please
take the time to read the 2 inserts and
allow your sense of generosity to be
stimulated.
It has never been the intention of the
reunion to mandate any kind of par-
ticipation in these undertakings. The
sole purpose of this committee has
always been to generate additional
revenue for reunion expenses. A heart
felt thank you to all who make this
possible!
Always a challenging endeavor, and
one not envied by others, Co-Chairs
Carol & Chuck Andoga have put to-
gether a plan of action that will pro-
vide excitement, stimulate curiosity,
and generate revenue to help defray
reunion expenses. Please pay close
attention, as your participation will be
encouraged.
Looking to introduce something new
and different, Carol and Chuck has
instituted an hourly drawing that will
reward winners with gift cards to na-
tionally known establishments. Now,
this particular enterprise will seduce
you to come early, because the first of
these drawings take place as the Noon
meal commences.
Participants will purchase a “Ways &
Means Membership Card” for $5.00.
This entitles buyer 2 tickets for each
of the 6 hourly drawings. Purchasing
your card before the noon drawing
will advance you 2 bonus tickets for
any drawing of your choice. Purchas-
ing a card after the noon drawing, and
prior to the 1PM drawing will get you
one bonus ticket for any drawing of

Nancy Cannon prepares to launch a
bean bag, as Cheryl Karashin watches.
Evan, Justin’s younger brother, has
many fond memories of the times they
spent together, including the chance
to join in on the drums while Justin
played his guitar. Younger sister Jay-
den will always remember the bed-
time stories Justin read to her and
having the comfort of him falling
asleep beside her.
In addition to his grieving family Jim,
Leslie, Evan, and Jayden, Justin is
survived by maternal grandparents
Barbara and James Ruhe, his aunt,
Krista Ruhe, and uncle Gregory Ruhe.
Before moving to Rehoboth Beach,
Delaware, the Ruhe family was very
active in all phases of our family reun-
ion. Barbara served as president on a
least one occasion that I remember,
and was our secretary on a number of
other reunions. Jim enjoyed our after-
noon games activities, and children
Krista and Greg followed suit.
To Justin’s family, please know that
you have the sympathy of our entire
reunion family, and that we shall re-
member Justin in our prayers.
Family Tragedy
Last year, as we gath-
ered in a circle for the
traditional start of our
reunion’s noon meal, we
were informed of the
sudden loss of one of
our younger family
members. On June 7,
2009 Justin James Lesko died tragi-
cally at work while cleaning a swim-
ming pool. He was 19 years old
Justin was born on March 23, 1990 to
his loving parents Leslie and Jim Le-
sko of Lewes, Delaware. At the time of
his death, Justin was a freshman at
the University of Delaware, George-
town Campus. He was a gifted ath-
lete and had a number of activities he
enjoyed, not the least of which in-
cluded surfing and board skating. As
a young man, Justin was known as a
guy with a big heart. He visited nurs-
ing homes on Sundays with a Coach
McDowell, helped neighbors with
heavy chores, and planted beach grass
at the state park.

I (Chuck Andoga) retired on Dec. 31,
2001 from OK Grocery Co., a division of
Giant Eagle Markets, Inc. Since my
retirement, I have had both of my
knees replaced — the left knee on
1/4/10 and the right knee on 4/5/10.
Most of the rehab has been completed
and I now look forward to what this
retirement thing really has to offer!
