FAITH FORMATION VIRTUAL PROGRAM
Registrations for the year 2020-21 will close on January 30, 2021. If you haven’t done so and wish to register your child, please do so this month. Our next scheduled Google Meet Classroom is on January 24, 2021. Please refer to your lesson plan for the time of your child’s class. We wish you and your loved ones a blessed and happy New Year. Cathleen Smith
Baby Shower for the Unborn St. Bridget Church Annual Baby Shower will be held on January 23rd and 24th. We will have a different procedure this year because of the Corvid 19 Virus. Someone will be standing at the side door between the rectory and the Church at St. Bridget to collect your gifts for the unborn at each Mass. There will be a basket also for donations if you prefer. Please make checks to Fund for the Unborn. Thank you for all you can do this year, the needs for the Pregnancy Help Office is greater because so many are out of work because of the virus. As always I wish to thank you in advance because I know of your generosity. The unborn babies are very fortunate each year for your charity on their behalf. May God Bless you, Lynn Kenn & Karen Clark

FROM THE PASTORS DESK
I write these words for the bulletin the day before the Inauguration and we pray for peace in our country in the midst of the pandemic. There is a website take five for faith and today it says the following: Exactly 60 years ago tomorrow, John F. Kennedy gave an inaugural address that quoted Romans 12:12, reminding citizens to be “rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation.” One year later, Pope John XXIII became a secret intermediary between Kennedy and Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, speaking a message of peace to the entire world during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Haunted by the experience, he penned his final encyclical, Pacem in Terris, stressing the church’s Christian duty to address international issues of peace and human rights—speaking to all persons “of good will,” not only Catholics. Pray for peace and the perseverance of hope. This praying for peace and perseverance of hope also seems timely during this time of the pandemic. Last week I reprinted the Conference of Bishops statement on the vaccine so that people would know the Catholic Church Teaching. Many stated that they found it helpful, you can certainly share it with others and tell people they can find it online at the USCCB website (United State Conference of Catholic Bishops).
