supporting Lee Mack back in 2010; the

superb duo Gilmore and Roberts recently

nominated for Best Duo in the BBC 2

Radio Folk Awards and the return visit from

the crazy Circus of Horrors, one definitely

not for the faint-hearted. I really hope that

many of you will see something a little

different that catches your eye this season

and give it a go!

A new venture for us this summer will be

our first festival ‘Lights Alive’. The Lights

will open its doors from 1st-3rd July with

a wide range of music available in the

arena which will carry on late into the night,

kicking off with the brilliant local band The

Torn Off Strips on the Friday night. Creative

workshops will be in abundance to ensure

little ones are kept busy and outside you

will find a range of markets, art fairs and

street food. We will also welcome local

breweries with a range of ales and ciders.

We really hope that you will join us and

support this new venture - it is going to be

very exciting!

Be sure to keep an eye out for lots of

exciting activities coming up at The Lights

as we head towards our 10th Anniversary

in October 2016.

General Information

Welcome to our newly designed brochure,

we really hope you like the changes we

have made and enjoy having a read

through everything we have in store for you.

As the weather starts to get a little warmer

and we start to see a hint of spring, why

not treat yourself to a visit to your local

theatre to see one of the many great

shows and events in our new season. We

have seen a significant growth in our new

customers over the last few months, with

over 300 new customers in January alone.

Many shows have been selling out and I

am pleased to report that we achieved an

overall occupancy in January of 85%, one

of our highest to date and way above the

national average of 66% for comparable

venues.

Our summer season is always a quieter one

than the autumn and spring as once again

many of our talented amateur dramatic

groups, schools and dance troupes take

the opportunity to stage their own shows

at The Lights. In May, Andover Musical

Theatre Company bring their very own

production of the popular musical Sister

Act to The Lights, and with tickets already

selling well, demand is sure to be high.

Highlights of the new season include

Simon Evans who first came to The Lights
