EDITORIALNational integration means combining all the peopleof the nation into a single whole. It is a peculiarsentiment that binds together all people in a common
bond irrespective of their different religion, languagecaste and creed. It is a strong cementing forcewhereby all kinds of people live together peacefully
& can identify themselves as parts of a single whole.India is a vast country with abundant population. Ifwe get united, this great human force with greatresources of the country can carry the whole worldwith us. The worst tragedy that has devoured up Indiais complete national disintegration. It appears thatIndia is not a nation, but simply a crowd of separateindividuals each differing from the other, yet living
together. The history of India presents a very poorrecord of national integration. Disunity is a veryold evil. In the pages of history, we find numeralinstances to show that we suffered indignities andhumiliation because of our disunity. Even at the timeof national crisis the whole country could not pulltogether and the result was defeat and subjugation.
There are several obstacles in the way of nationalintegration of our country. The most formidableobstacles are linguist, communalism and
regionalism. It is beyond doubt that the threats ofdisintegration are staring us in the face. We mustrealize that we have the firm bond of same culturalheritage and must not ourselves fall apart anddisintegrate.Let us come together for a united Indiawith greater emphasis on National Integration andestablish our nation as a major force in the world.
