CaringFor YourMattress

We want you and your baby to love your mattress for years to come. So here’s our expert advice to help you get the most out of it.

We recommend turning the mattress every three months, except for our dual sided Twist mattress

Our mattresses are water resistant, not waterproof. So it’s important to always use a mattress protector to keep your mattress clean and dry, and to help protect against dust mites

Vacuuming once a month can also help reduce the risk of dust mites

Ventilate your mattress once a week, perhaps when the bedding is off for washing. Just remove the sheets and open the bedroom window to let any built up moisture evaporate

If your mattress needs cleaning, simply sponge the cover lightly with a mild

detergent then air until it’s completely dry

Store your mattress in a cool, dry place with a consistent temperature (avoid lofts, cellars and sheds)

Featuring a food grade polyurethane between two layers of luxury cotton, providing a 100% waterproof layer. Our mattress protectors are flat rather than fitted, allowing mattresses to breathe from the sides and underneath whilst creating a dust mite barrier.

SheetsWe have created gorgeous organic cotton sheets for a perfectly natural night’s sleep for your baby. Our beautifully soft and lightweight fitted sheets are extra breathable to help control your baby’s body temperature as well as being chemical free with no pesticides or herbicides.

Safer sleep for your baby. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is the sudden and unexplained death of a baby where no cause is found. While SIDS is rare, it can still happen and there are steps parents can take to help reduce the chance of this tragedy occurring.

Use a firm, flat, waterproof mattress in good condition

Always place your baby on their back to sleep

Keep your baby smoke free during pregnancy and after birth

Place your baby to sleep in a separate cot or Moses basket in the same room as you for the first 6 months

Breastfeed your baby, if you can

Never sleep on the sofa or in an armchair with your baby

Don’t sleep in the same bed as your baby if you smoke, drink or take drugs or if your baby was born prematurely or was of low birth weight

Avoid letting your baby get too hot

Don’t cover your baby’s head whilst sleeping or use loose bedding
