~The Little Things That Count~ By Carson McGrath.
~Artistic Statement~
he things in life that are the most beautiful are not the things that man has
built, but the little teeny tiny things that you don’t usually notice. Things that are
there for one second, but gone the next. However, my goal is to take those little
fractions of a second and make them last forever.
I want to be able to capture the hairs on the back of a fly, the I also want to
capture things that are only there for a moment; like a bug tangled in a spider web,
because these are the types things that won’t be there the next day, or hour, or
minute, or even second.
I want to be able to see what is going on in the scene other than just
glancing at it and then it’s gone.
For me, it’s the little things that
count.

~Biography~Usually when it comes to art, I am not that creative. Except for photography.
As a photographer, I enjoy taking pictures of my deepest passions. A couple
things that I like that I am capable of using in photography at Canyon Crest are
sports and the outdoors, so this is what I focus on in my images. I also like to
incorporate very vivid colors like Galen Rowell did and try whenever I have the
opportunity to put as much color as I can in my pictures. Also, although I have
molded on the type of shots I like to take, I have found that taking pictures of
small things that are usually hard to see are what I enjoy. I started
photography in my sophomore year at Canyon Crest and have always like
taking pictures of these things, even as a beginner. I was born April 26, 1990
and ever since then I have been interested in getting a different view on things
that you don’t see everyday. I am a…… student. Teenager. Athlete.
Photographer.
