Flower Powered RobotInspiration Assignment

1

InspirationCraft: I drew this picture on regular notebook paper, as well as almost anything else I draw. First I drew everything out, lightly, using a number two pencil. After I liked what I saw, I outlined what I drew in a think gel pen. After that I fit some light shading with the pen around the belt and the inside of his chest. Because I outlined the flower inside the robot’s chest, it blurred so You can’t really tell in person or in the picture which is one of the flaws I made while draw-ing this robot.

Composition: The way you see it is the way its supposed to be caught. It’s just a robot, powered by a flower. I don’t know why I positioned it in a state of ponder. If I had to label what you have to see from first second and third, It would most likely start from: The flower as well as the position of the flower, The robot as a whole, and finally the state of ponder that the robot is in.

Concept: I originally did not have a plan or reason for the drawing, but just because it was drawn without reason it doesn’t mean that it can’t be interpreted differently. It could involve energy and the flower could be a symbol for a reus-able energy resource.

2

Energy OverflowAssignment: Must Take up entire Page

3

Energy OverflowCraft: The assignment for this piece was to take up the entire page. So for this piece I decided to make a pice that had a forest look to it so it would work with the main point. I used water color for it. I focused mainly on green, black, brown, and white. I had different shades of green which helped a lot Composition: I originally had a different Idea on how to lay out the picture and how to position the robot. But for this painting I showed the robot in an empowering stance. He is not grabbing the plant vines. Its more like the vines are wrapping them selves around his arm as a way to show that the robot isn’t taking by force. The beams of light show that he is being powered By the plants instead of being taken over.

Concept: He is being charged to the max by the energy given from the plants. The way I see it is that The world needs to find other ways to create a fuel source. And It maybe shouldn’t even be one but many sources for energy. This is how it is linked to the previous drawing.

4

RebirthAssignment:

5

RebirthCraft: First I made the sketch, after that I painted the leaf. From there I used brown for dirt, and then yellow for sun. After all of that I used red for the skyConcept: There really isn’t much to say about this piece, I know it does look like I’m missing something to add on to the story. For this week I took on a different approach to the concept of plant an robot. In here the land is bare because all of the plants have been demolished due to civilization taking advantage of the plants power. There is a sunrise to show a new beginning and a little metallic plant growing as a way to show rebirth and a second chance for humanity.

Composition: First you must see the barren land. After that you have to notice the sunrise. From there you have to notice the Metallic looking plant.

6

Hope in the DarknessAssignment: Must Create A dytech

7

Hope In The DarknessCraft: To make this drawing I used An 8x11 paper and cut it down to two 5x5s. I used a 4H to get a basic outline of what I wanted the butterfly to look like, I also did the same with the robot. After that I went over the background with grey water color. After that I had to wait for it to dry so I could outline the butterfly with a think sky blue. I went over the robot with a thick white coat of water color and when it dried I outlined it in black with red eyes. After that I made a darker layer of grey for the smoke the robot is emitting, adding swirls to show that it is smoke.

Concept: The concept of this would be that in a world full of cloud and smoke, when everything seems to be dead and dreadful, there is always something that proves you wrong and showed you hope.

Composition: First you notice the greyish background. After that you notice where the smoke is coming from. After you have seen all that, you would then notice the butterfly.

Robot Loves FlowerAssignment: Different Canvas

9

Robot Loves FlowerCraft: This was made out of cardboard and a piece of an 8x11.5 piece of printer paper. The original assignment was supposed to be that we would use a different type of canvas then I would normally have used. Since I would normally have used white sketchbook paper than I thought that cardboard would be a good idea. So I drew out the sketch that I wanted and taped it to the cardboard. After that I cut it out and made a stand for it. After that I went outside and tried to find a flower, after that I taped it to the robot’s hand, Found a hedge and took a picture in front of it. The original was made out of cardboard so I guess it still counts.

Composition: What I would want you took look at first would be the hearts between the robot and the flower, after that you must notice the joy and emotion from the robot’s face and stance. After that you have to look at what he is actually infatuated with. The meaning behind this is just to show the relationship between plants and robots, or animate and inanimate things. It could be either hate or in this case it is love.

Concept: The meaning behind this is just to show the rela-tionship between plants and robots, or animate and inani-mate things. It could be either hate or in this case it is love.

10

Me And My Inanimate selfAssignment: Must Use the Color Red

12

Me And my Inanimate Self

Craft: The craft for this piece was pretty basic. First I used a number two pencil to sketch out what I wanted. I made sure that I went over it as lightly as I could because I knew I would be painting it. After that I Mixed her skin tone and painted her face and hands. After that I used a rich red color for the background, and also for the lips of the woman and the doll. After that I used a dark brown color for their hair.

Composition: First you must notice the woman and her posture, notice that her eyes are closed, the color of her lips and the shape of her hair. After that there is only one thing to look at, the fact that the doll she holds is an exact resemblance to her own appearance.

Concept: This is to show the relationship between the doll and the woman. It can be used to symbolize the almost doll like actions that humans could make, they doll themselves up with pretty makeup and hair. In the end the resemble the very dolls that they once played with as kids.

13

Me And my BotAssignment: Must use the color blue

14

Me And My BotCraft: For this assignment, we were supposed to use the color blue. First, as usual, I lightly outlined the drawing with a pencil. After that I used water color and focused mainly on three colors: Blue, white, Black, and a little bit of yellow for the robot’s mouth. I mixed the white and the black to get the metal tone for the robot and added water to give it dimension. Then I outlined the man with think black water color. From there I painted the back black, and used several different shades for the man’s eyes, and one shade for the robot. After everything I outlined the robot and painted his mouth yellow.

Composition: There is not much to explain in the picture. The best this to do when looking at this picture is to pay attention to the fact that they are in the same position and they have the same color eyes. Concept: This is to get a close up of the human and the robot. They can be similar in Many ways. For example, they can be similar in the coldness that their personality be.

15

Humans Aren’t The Only Ones Who Can Die From A Broken HeartAssignment: Inspired By a Piece From The Art Institute

16

Craft: For this picture I used one light graphite pencil and after I got the sketch out that I wanted I went over the outlines with a dark, black color pencil. After that the class decided that it would be best if it was colored. So I used light color pencils to color the couch and the robots.

Composition: There is a lot of things to look at in this picture. First of all it is best to notice the pain in the robot’s position and how he is completely torn apart. After that You must notice the lack of emotion in the doctor. After everything else you must pay attention to the robot wife and her position in the couch and the fact that she is holding on the a robot infant. Concept: This piece is very similar to the previous piece en-titled “My Bot And Me”. This is to show the fact that humans can be cold and robotic in their actions. This is why the doctor is not completely visible while on the other hand you can see the pain that The robot feels on the operation table and the depression in the wife who is holding the infant robot.

Humans Aren’t the Only Ones That Can Die From A Broken Heart

17

Mirrored ImageAssignment: This was meant for another person.

18

Craft: For this piece I outlined what I wanted in pencil then outlined everything again in a dark color pencil. After that I decided to color everything else using color pencils Composition: You must pay attention to her proud stance and the way she is looking at herself. Then notice the warm inviting colors that surrounds her. After all of that You have to look at the robot who shows how she really feels.

Concept: This just like all the other pieces can be used to symbolize the fact that we humans can use our appearance to hide what we really feel inside. It is only when we look at ourselves that we know what is in our hearts.

Rebirth Of The Robotic Revolution

Craft: For this piece I outlined what I wanted in pencil Starting with the Robot. After that I started to lake the layers of peach, pink and purple for the stomach. After everything dried I painted the robot and then painted the negative space black. Composition: I figured that it would be better to make the robot baby facing up, so that who ever sees this can get a better view.

Concept: I decided to with human nature in how you would typically have a human woman give birth to a human baby. I decided to switch the Human Baby for a robot because A robot mother could not make the necessary vitamins that a baby would need.

Old Portfolio

Skeleton24

SkeletonCraft: This was an assignment for my drawing I class. The whole point of this assignment was to make sure that the entire skeleton fit onto the page. For fun we were allowed to use a different shade of blue. First I started with the outline of the skeleton, after that I went on to shade everywhere else using the color blue. From there I outlined my pencil marks with a charcoal pencil and erased where needed. Composition: The class had different seats, where ever we sat was the point of view that we drew the skeleton.

Concept: The whole concept of this drawing was to make sure that the entire skeleton fit onto the page proportionally.

25

Chair

26

ChairCraft: This was an assignment for my drawing I class. The whole point of this assignment was to make sure that the entire Chair onto the paper

Composition: The class had different seats, where ever we sat was the point of view that we drew the skeleton.

Concept: The whole concept of this drawing was to make sure that the entire skeleton fit onto the page proportionally. We also had to make sure that We shaded and erased to that we could see the light bouncing off of the chair.

27

Pigeons Are Good...28

Pigeons Are Good For Your Health

Craft: This was outlined with a black ink pen and colored with crayola crayons First I drew the face and then the body. After that I outlined everything in a fine point pen. After that I focused on his clothes, coloring with crayons. Then I gave him colored.

Composition: First you have to notice the expression his face. After That you must pay attention to his appearance, then read the words.

Concept: I wanted more of a profile picture because it added to the creepy vibes the guy was giving.

29

Frank-en-baby

30

Frank-En-BabyCraft: I originally used Temper paint But then when it came to the color of his skin I used watercolor pencils. I started off with the face outlined in pencil. After that I outlined everything again with black temper paint. Then I painted the face green.

Composition: The only thing you should notice about this picture is the actually frank-en-baby Face, after that everything else is just for decoration. Concept: The mouth for this person was actually supposed to be the nose. I was originally going to make a larger and scarier face but I went with this instead because I thought that cute was better the evil for this picture

31

English notes

32

English NotesCraft: This was done on regular notebook paper and I used gel pens in different color. I focused on her hair, using Black, red and purple. From there I drew her desk. After that I drew the body. After that I drew the desk in the background, the desk and the floor crease. After that I did a random story doodle surrounding the picture.

Composition: I wanted this picture to have some sort of doodle like appearance.

Concept: The main focus of this picture is of the girl who’s taking notes, after that you should pay attention to the story going around her.

33

Sunset in Mexico

Sunset in Mexico

34

Sunset In MexicoCraft: This photo was taken by a camera phone in Mexico. It was taken on top of a roof of my grand parent’s house.

Composition: The horizon is supposed to be groupings of hills and some short trees. It was taken like this because the position of the clouds made it so that the sun’s rays would show more color.

Concept: First you must notice the sun and how much color it lets out. After that you must notice the horizon and shapes that make up the Hills and trees

35

Ifa: Oya

36

Ifa: Oya Craft: This picture was painted with Watercolor paints. It was originally con in color pencil on a different sheet of paper.

Composition: This is supposed to be a God in a religion known as IFA. The goddess’ name is Oya and she is ruler of light-ening, fire, wind, and owns all the colors of the rainbow.

Craft: In this picture, you must notice her stance and fighting position. After that you have to notice the swords. After that you should pay attention to the background storm and tornado.

37

School Girl38

School GirlCraft: This was made by a pencil and after that it was inked out in pen.

Composition: I thought that it would add more color if I took this picture in a slightly darker setting and adjusted the lighting through the computer.

Concept: There is only one main focus in the picture. There is nothing else but the girl.

39

Lake Marion

40

Lake MarionCraft: This was taken by a camera phone around sunset at lake marion.

Composition: This was photographed in this position because I thought it was perfect timing. The sun was giving off just the right amount of light and The geese were aligned perfectly.

Craft: This picture is something that should be looked at ass a hole. If anything I would say that the main focus should be on the ducks.

41

Purple Clouds

42

Purple CloudsCraft: This was actually sketched out in a black ball point pen and I also used a purple ball point pen to add highlights to the ski.

Composition: This was positioned and photographed in this way because I thought it would add a different Look to it,

Concept: First you have to look at the tree, then you must notice the scribble in the sky, the clouds, and then finally the moon.
