The Loaves and Fishes

Big crowds followed Jesuswherever he went.

He and his disciples wentacross the lake on a boat.

But when they got to the other side,another huge crowd was waiting.

Jesus felt sorry for them andbegan teaching all about God.

When it was getting late, the crowdwere feeling tired and hungry.

“You can give them food,”said Jesus to his disciples.

But there were 5000 men withwomen and children too!

They didn’t have enough food ormoney to feed them all.

There was a boy in the crowdwho had brought his own lunch.

There werefive loaves

and two fishes.

Jesus had the peoplesit down in groups of 50 and 100.

Jesus took the loaves and gavethanks to God. Then he broke them

As the disciples gave out the bread,it multiplied and made more bread.The same happened with the fish.

After every single person was fed,there were twelve baskets left!

The people were amazed and said,“This man must be the Son of God!”
