With three pool suites and three tented suites, The Lodge is the ultimateprivate African safari experience.

The Lodge operates in harmony with its surroundings with architecturedesigned for energy and ecological conservation, materials from lowenergy and renewable sources coupled with operational practices forefficient energy and water usage.

Our kitchen is inspired by modern French cuisine. Light meals areserved, simple but always delicious and fresh. You can enjoy yourmealsin the guest area, around the pool, in the privacy of your villa or on apicnic out in the bush.

25m Swimming PoolTake a dip in our 25m lap pool. After a refreshing swim, sip a cocktaillying on your sun lounge and thrill to elephants drinking from thewaterhole in front of the pool.

Bush Tennis CourtSet in the bush, The Lodge has a tennis court built from an old,abandoned termitemoundwhereguests canplayagameof tennis duringthe milder moments of the day.

Open Air GymWork out in the open bush gym, accompanied by the sounds of thenature. There is an array of exercise equipment to choose from includingelliptical, home trainer, weights and more.

The ultimate privatesafari experience

The SuitesPool SuitesEach suite is large and roomy and includes a wide teak deck around thepool. The suites are situated well away from each other, your own homein Africa.

An extra King size bed draped in billowing mosquito nets forms thecentre of each suite. A ceiling fan above the bed keeps the air cool andthe temperature is always comfortable for sleeping, even at the hottesttime of the year.

The lounge area has a 150cm daybed sofa and can be used as a furthersleeping area for children.

The spacious bathroom, with beautiful views over the Kalaharilandscape, contains a free-standing bath and shower, double sinks anda private toilet.

Each suite has its ownprivate 4x6mswimmingpool surroundedbya teakdeck complete with sun lounges.

An outside staircase leads to the upper deck, under thatch but open tonature. Here, private dinners can be arranged, or, sleep out at night onthe woven daybed, with only a mosquito net between you and nature.

Two special mountain bikes are parked at the front door of each suite.Cycle to themain guest area during the day, or venture out accompaniedby one of our guides to explore the wilderness around the lodge.

Tented SuitesThe spacious tented suites are light and airy, raised more than a metreof the ground on beautiful decks made from sustainable wood. Thesuites are located along the northern shore of a wooded islandoverlooking an ephemeral pan.

Each suite has twin bedswhich can bemade as a double bed in need anda luxurious ensuite bathroom.

Fly CampingExperience a real wilderness adventure,camping out in the African bush like theexplorers of old.

After a two hour game drive to theGcwihaba Caves, you can relax around thecampfire and enjoy the romance of dinnerunder the African stars.

Sleep in luxurious dome tents with thickbedrolls and fluffy duvets and let the soundsof the bush lull you to sleep.

First People of the KalahariFeline Fields collaborates with the localBushman community and offers a glimpseinto their amazing culture and partnershipwith nature which has ensured theirsurvival over millennia.

You will have the rare opportunity tointeract with the Bushmen withexperiences ranging from bush walkswhere you will learn about veld foods andnatural medicines to hearing stories aboutBushman folklore.

On an overnight fly-camp you will beinvited into the inner circle to witness orjoin in the famous Bushman TranceDance.

Game DrivesEnjoy private safaris where youwill drive for hours without seeing anothersingle soul and really escape from the rest of the world.

What You Need to KnowThere is solar electricity throughout the lodge.

You can charge camera batteries - bring anadaptor for a round 3 pin plug.

If you are on a mobile safari expedition, bring a12 volt car charger.

Water is a scarce resource in Botswana – soplease try to conserve it where possible.

HealthThere is malaria in Botswana so we recommendprecautions be taken. Please consult your doctor.Be mindful of the fact that some medications cancause reactions to the sun.

It is vital that you stay hydrated whilst on safari.The water in Botswana is safe to drink.

There are basic first aid kits in the lodge. We havemedical evacuation Insurance in case ofemergencies.

Gratuities/TippingTipping is by no means compulsory, but if guestsdo wish to tip for good service the staff are alwaysgrateful. We recommend the following (as aguideline):

For camp staff – US$10.00 per person, per day.To be given to the manager, hostess or guide fordistribution.

For your guide – US$10.00 per person, per day.

Dietary RequirementsPlease inform Feline Fields of any dietaryrequirements and allergies before travel. Pleaseconfirm these with the manager in camp.

Wild AnimalsOur safaris may bring you into close contact withwild animals, and whilst attacks are extremelyrare, we encourage you to listen to your guideand take the necessary precautions.

Travel and Medical InsuranceAll visitors should carry comprehensive travel andmedical insurance. We have to chargecancellation fees as per our stated policy, nomatter the reason for the cancellation.

Visas and Entry RequirementsVisitors from the European Union, mostCommonwealth countries and the USA do notrequire visas for a stay of less than 90 days.Visitors from Ghana, India, Nigeria, Pakistan,Bangladesh and Sri Lanka do require visas.

All visitors are required to carry a passport that isvalid for six months beyond the intended lengthof stay, with sufficient blank pages for entrystamps.

WeatherWeather is becoming increasingly difficult topredict, but below are some guidelines:

Jan – Mar: Summer. High rainfall and hightemperatures. Highs range from 35°C to 45°C.

Lows around 18°C.

April – May: Autumn. Dry and warm. Coolevenings and mornings.

Jun – Aug: Winter. No rainfall. Cold nights andearly mornings. Days are sunny and generallywarm. Temperatures range from 15°C to 30°C.Nights can drop below freezing in some areas.

Sept – Oct: Spring. Dry and warm. October canbe extremely hot.

Nov – Jan: Summer. High rainfall and hightemperatures. Highs range from 35°C to 45°C.Lows around 18°C.
