1. SMILE !!! Your job in health care is tough enough. Lighten up today and enjoy yourself with your friends and associates.
2. Talk with the Exhibitors. Ask them about their goods and services. Don't forget to say, “Thank You” and tell them how much you appreciate their being here supporting your profession and industry. Fill up your Show Bag with their “goodies.” Give them yourconsideration when making purchases for goods and services. Without the Exhibitors, there would be no Show. Make them feel welcome, and invite them back for next year.
3. Finally, go home refreshed, relaxed and renewed. Tell your friends, associates and vendors who didn’t come what they missed.
We recycle! At the conclusion of the event, please drop your Name Badge off at the

ALL Educational Offerings run concurrently.
Who’s Paying The Bill? Understanding Today’s Payment Models and the Data You Need for a Strong Bottom Line(1.5 CEUs) - Cheryl Field, MSN; Prime Care Technologies We ask a lot of questions in post-acute care (PAC) but the first and often most critical question is “Who’s Paying theBill?” Thanks to health care reform the answer to this question is changing in a dramatic way! Buried in the regulationsof PAMA, IMPACT and the Final Rule are new quality metrics making their way into the reimbursement system.Mandatory bundled care programs shift the risk away from Uncle Sam and onto you and your network of colleagueproviders. Not to mention that getting paid for services rendered in a value based market is complicated. This session willanswer the question, who is paying the bill “today” exploring the major payers and payment models emerging in the SNFspace. Case examples will be used to illustrate key performance metrics which operators should focus on to ensure ahealthy bottom line.
Rebalancing Medicare: The Shift From Volume To Value (1.5 CEUs) – Maureen McCarthy, RN, BS, RAC-MT, CPRA; Celtic ConsultingSince the release of CMS’ Final Rule for 2017, providers have been scrambling to shift focus to showing quality andvalue to their customers and payers. This program will help guide attendees through new health care reform efforts andalternate payment methods as CMS moves away from a resource utilization reimbursement system; specifically, SNFVBP and SNF QRP programs, as well as CJR and cardiac bundle payment methods.
Managing In The Millennium (1.5. CEUs) – Ralph Peterson; Healthcare Services GroupExperts suggest that by 2020 the millennial generation (1980–2001) will make up over 50% of our workplace and 75%of the global workforce by 2030. It is imperative that today’s organizations discover new ways to excite and engage thisgeneration without abandoning the other predominate generations in the workforce (Gen X and Baby Boomers).
This Changes Everything: A Practical, Step-by-Step Guide on How to Comply with CMS’s New “Mega Rule”(1.5 CEUs) – Jonathan Starble, Esq and Barbara Sodergren, RN, CLNC; LTC Integrity LLCOn October 4, 2016, CMS completely changed the rules for SNFs by issuing its “Reform of Requirements for Long-Term Care Facilities,” thereby creating the first comprehensive revision to federal nursing home regulations since 1991.In order to prepare for this major regulatory transition, providers must develop a realistic, process-based implementationplan that focuses on prioritization, interdisciplinary collaboration, training, and internal auditing. Rather than simplyreciting the minutia of the new regulations and focusing on technical and theoretical principles, this seminar will giveproviders a practical, step-by-step guide on how to transition their facilities for life under the new Mega Rule.
Getting More Out Of Your Pharmacy (1.5 CEUs) – Saul Greenberger; PharmScript LLCAs health care continues to be hit with cuts, facilities are increasingly looking to trip expenses without effect-ing quality. Your pharmacy vendor is likely one of your largest cost centers. Learn the insiders approach toaggressive pharmacy cost containment as you’ve never heard before. Presented by a former nursing homeadministrator and current pharmacy operator, this session is designed to be educational at its core, but at thesame time, thought-provoking and entertaining.
The Cost of Retention and Burnout (1.5 CEUs) – Cheryl Wilcox, RN, USI / HealthcapThis seminar will identify strengths in your current human resource processes, describe the traits of an idealemployee and create a retention program.
