I know it sounds cliché to say that one day changed my

life, but it did. I don’t mean that it did a total 180, but I

was changed. I mean, doesn’t every day that we live

change our lives in big ways or small? Every decision we

make, every action we take, everything we let into our

minds or hearts forms us into the people that we are.

This is what happened to me a few weeks ago. I was

feeling exhausted spiritually, mentally, physically,

emotionally, you know, that time in the semester; the

time where you want to shout, “I AM SO DONE!” about

everything. Done with homework, done with friends,

done with work, done with any responsibility, just done.

All I wanted to do was go home, go to my own bed,

read for my own pleasure (ain’t nobody got time for

that) and sleep….for days on end. I wanted a vacation…

a sanctuary.

Life, however, was not going to stop for me, no matter

how hard I tried to ignore reality. Time was going to just

keep on going and my usual philosophy of “I have so

much to do that I’m not going to do any of it” was not

going to cut it. There was also no way that I could keep

going without being revived, without some sort of lifeline

to give me fresh motivation.

J o b P o s t i n g s Last week protesting started again all around Egypt; it is almost like a second revolution now against the new president and the laws he has been passing. People in Egypt are tired of the injustice and the persecution and how people take advantage of their power. So please, please pray for Egypt, for peace, for wisdom, for patience, and for God to come and lead His people in whatever plan He has for us. Pray for the church for strength and for the church's voice to be heard. The church in Egypt is constantly praying and fasting for God's will to be done. Please always keep Egypt in your prayers.

Thank you so much, God bless all of you

Revised Kuyper College Scholarship Renewal Policy and Procedures

Good News! The renewal policy and procedures for Kuyper College Academic Scholarships (formerly known as Kuyper Achievement Awards) have been changed. Highlights that impact current students include:

Students will be given a minimum of two semesters before their cumulative GPA is considered for re-newal of their scholarship. That “after 1st year” GPA is 2.50 for all scholarships.

After years 2 and 3, scholarship renewal will be based on a cumulative GPA that corresponds with the scholarship level.

Students who do not meet the required renewal GPA for their scholarship but still have a high enough GPA associated with a lower scholarship will be moved to a scholarship at that lower level rather than lose their scholarship entirely.

Please review the more detailed information that can be found on the Kuyper Portal under the Listings area of the Financial Aid link under the Student Services tab. Although the renewal requirements have been changed for current students, other aspects of their scholarships will continue to be under the program that they enrolled under.

A revised scholarship program is in place for new students beginning in the fall of 2013. Kuyper has also added a $2,000 scholarship for new students who have completed the “Facing Your Future” summer program at Calvin Theological Seminary. Please encourage your friends to consider attending Kuyper and make sure that they check out all of these new scholarships on the Kuyper web site.

As a big thank you for reading, we have a special prize

for you! But there’s a catch. You must be able to recite

these three things at the Student Life front desk from

memory.

When does the book sale end in the library?

What is the GPA for all scholarships after the

first year?

What was the world news article about?

CORRECTION! If you can name these three things, you

can either receive a candy bar (!!!!) or enter in a raffle

for a grand prize of a $15 gift card for Meijer (!!!!!!) This

coming Friday, Dec. 7th, the winner will be chosen,

instead of today.
