I n t e r n s h i p s

So for Lent, I decided to call it quits. I put my makeup

away and decided to confront the world fresh-faced.

At first, it was hard. Two days into Lent, I ran into my first

dilemma. I had planned on going on a nice date to a

trendy restaurant. Did I go without makeup, looking like

a total mousy loser, or glam it up for this special occa-

sion?

Needless to say, I glammed it up. And the first few

weeks of Lent, it was really hard. I decided to compen-

sate for my lack of eye definition by making sure my hair

and outfit for that day were perfect.

But slowly, things started to change. I forgot that I wasn’t

wearing makeup. The urge to apply it in the morning

weakened. And by not worrying about what I plastered

on my face, I began to worry less about other outward

things, like my hair and my outfit..

I changed, outwardly and inwardly.

As you are most likely aware, the college is currently in the process of hiring a:

Provost

Business Professor

Bible/Theology Professor

Please keep the hiring committees in your prayers as they seek to carry out God’s will for Kuyper’s future. Please also be praying for the people that will fill these positions, that God will be preparing them for their roles at Kuyper and that we might welcome them into our Kuyper family with the love of Christ. Thank you for your prayers as well as your involvement and feedback this past week!

Teresa Janzen is still looking for a few volunteers to help out the day of the Spring Celebration Gala! Would you like the opportunity to attend the Spring Celebration Gala and help the College at the same time? We need your help to make this signature event the best ever. The gala is Thursday, April 18th at Fredrik Meijer Gardens. Help is needed beginning with set-up at 3pm and ending with tear down at 9pm and every-thing in between. We need help pouring water/coffee during dinner, directing guests to receptions before dinner, helping with registration, and more. If you are interested, stop by the advance-ment office, or email [email protected]. THANK YOU!

As a big thank you for reading, we have a special prize

for you! But there’s a catch. You must be able to recite

these three things at the Student Life front desk from

memory.

Who is hosting this year’s variety show?

When is the Spring Celebration Gala?

What would Kuyper Life love your participation in?

If you can name these three things, you can either

receive a candy bar or enter in a raffle to win a $15 gift

card to Starbucks!

Kuyper Life is going to be making a video of “cardboard testimonies” to share with our fellow Kuyperians the wonderful works of God in our lives. If you would like to share what God has done in your life, please email [email protected]. Click here for an ex-ample of a cardboard testimony video. Seniors! We would especially love to

have you share how God has trans-formed you while at Kuyper!
