The District's Information Technology Division (ITD) has 700+ staff
members, including programmers, network engineers, and administrative
staff - all of whom provide support to the Schools and most District
offices in a professional, forward thinking, and challenging environment.
Technologies supported range from personal systems to enterprise-wide
systems and applications. The IT Division's offices are located at the
District Headquarters in downtown Los Angeles.
Working with the IT Division in the second largest school District in the
nation will allow you opportunities to provide technology needs to
approximately 95,000 employees, 600,00 students, and 1 million parents
with an approximate 12 billion dollar annual budget. The IT Division uses
cutting edge technology to provide over 1 million transactions for URL
filtering and student safety, provide security service for over 100 ,000

Systems Science Specialist Experience in developmental work for large
scale application systems and use of various
computational algorithms and mathematical modeling to address
complex systems questions. In addition, the experience must have
included responsibility for developing detailed systems plans, including
responsibility for sizing and proposing hardware systems, cost
effectiveness studies, utilization of operations research and economics
