[DAY 1 - Friday] – WELCOME TO LAPLAND! Arrival at the Kemi-Tornio airport. Transfer by private bus to your cottage, located in the village of Korpikylä, located on the shore of the Torne River. During the tour you will stay in a newly renovated rustic lodge, located inside the Hulkoffgården organic farm, run with energy and sympathy by Pia and Kurt. The lodge has a cozy lounge with fireplace, and two separate wings. Different types of bedrooms are available (one single, one mini-apartment and one family suite, respectively, for a total of 14 beds). The facilities (WC and showers) are shared, with the exception of the King’s Room and the mini-apartment (available upon supplement). On arrival, a typical dinner will be served in the atmospheric restaurant. In the meantime, our tour guide will explain the travel program and will be at your disposal for any questions you may have. After dinner, if conditions allow, we will be able to observe the Northern Lights in the surroundings - the area is particularly suitable as it is free of light pollution towards North. Arctic gear (shoes, socks, overalls) will be at your disposal to help protect yourself from the weather throughout the tour.

[DAY 2 - Saturday] SNOWCASTLE AND HUSKY SAFARI After breakfast, we will visit the town of Kemi, with optional entrance to the famous Snowcastle. Later, we drive to Honkamaa where we visit an authentic husky farm, run by an Italian couple who decided to move to Lapland from Rome! Here a Siberian husky sleigh safari is waiting for us. The experience is very intense, in contact with these wonderful animals and untouched nature. The dogs will howl and bark at your arrival: it is not a sign of threat, but of willingness to start the safari! After a short snack around the open fire, and an explanation about driving techniques and safety, we will start a wonderful journey through the snowy forest, which we will cross for about 5-8 km (about 30-45 minutes). The route is of medium difficulty and requires good physical shape for the sled driver. At the end of the safari, we will gather in the kota (the typical Lappish tent) where you can sip a coffee or a hot juice. Dinner is served at the husky farm restaurant. We then return back home for an aurora observation night (given the right conditions).

[DAY 3 - Sunday] SNOWMOBILE AND FISHERMEN’S VILLAGE After breakfast, it's time for adrenaline: we'll move to the village of Kukkola (20 minutes), where we will start a wonderful tour (lasting around 2 hours) on snowmobiles. We drive in the forest around the village, where we can admire beautiful views, along the rolling hills that surround the Tornio River Valley. Our guides will supervise the safety of the activity. Each snowmobile is driven by one person, with a passenger sitting at the back. Halfway along the way we will stop for a hot drink and driver change. Driving a snowmobile requires good physical shape and a B driving license. In case you do not wish to drive, you can sit at the back or in a sled. At the end of the safari, we will reach the fishermen village of Kukkolaforsen, perfectly preserved and still inhabited by the families who populated it in ancient times (one of which runs the adjacent resort). We will guide you through the small but interesting fish museum and show you how people lived here before the advent of technology. You will also learn how to make bread in the traditional Lappish way and enjoy the excellent coffee brewed in infusion, sitting around the fire in a unique atmosphere. In the afternoon, you have free time for pictures, or perhaps a drink at the riverside bar. In the evening, a dinner based on typical ingredients will be served in the resort's restaurant. The kitchen is supervised by Mrs. Margit, author of two books on the ancient recipes of Val di Tornio. We then return back home (20 minutes) for an aurora observation night.

[DAY 4 - Monday] POLAR CIRCLE, REINDEER, ARTISAN WORKSHOP AND SHAMAN Breakfast. In the morning we will go to Aavasaksanvaara hill (a 40 -minute drive). Here we will take a walk dedicated to the Arctic views and the history of this incredible place. Then we will move to Juoksenki (30 minutes), the village that is crossed by the Arctic Circle, for a souvenir photo. We then drive a further 15 minutes North, to meet an authentic Sàmi reindeer herder. Sixten Keisu and his nephew Roger live in a hidden corner of paradise and herd over a hundred reindeer. You can try feeding these incredible animals and see the workshop where he manufactures artesan knives. This is a unique opportunity for some quality handicraft shopping as Sixten’s knives have won multiple worldwide awards. In the afternoon we will drive back to Matarenki where we visit an artesan workshop of wooden objects where you can buy beautiful wooden souvenirs. The Korkeaniemi family will offer you a light snack inside one of their tents. In the evening, we will get closer to the ancient shaman culture of Lapland. After gathering around the fire, the shamans will read the message that conveys to her the energy that emanates from our bodies. The experience is exciting, intense and positive - the best way to end your trip to Lapland in beauty! The farewell dinner will be served at the Hulkoffgården farm restaurant, one of the best in the area. Return to the facility (approx. 1h30) with the possibility to watch the Northern Lights.
