Eg: books, stationary, phone, packed lunch. Students must not ask to borrow equipment unless sanctioned by the teacher. Students must not lend or borrow equipment to or from each other.

Cleaning - Students Upon arrival, all students wash their hands for 20 seconds using hot water and soap and go to their designated seat.

Catch it, Bin It, Kill It Students taught to ‘Catch it, Bin it, Kill it’ when using tissues and when coughing or sneezing. Tissues to be available in each group area. Used tissues must be placed in a sealable bag, placed in the student’s bag and disposed of at home.

Toilet use Although Government guidance states that different bubbles do not need to be allocated their own toilet, the school will try to allocate toilets that are used only by specific year bubbles. Cleaners will be allocated to each bubble and will regularly clean toilets throughout the day.

IT equipment IT equipment such as touch screens, keyboards and mice will be cleaned at the start and end of each use by the cleaning team and throughout the day by the student if deemed necessary.

Outdoor exercise and play areas During breaks and lunch two bubbles will use the playgrounds with one bubble on the lower playground and one bubble on the upper playground so they are separated. Break and lunch times are staggered meaning no more than two bubbles should be using the playgrounds at any one time. The 3G pitch is a large area so it may be that several bubbles will be able to access it but they will be separated out using cordoned zones so that they do not mix.

It is unlikely that the canteen will be open during morning breaks as it is not possible for it to be cleaned between bubble use in the time available. If students wish to eat or drink during morning breaks, they will need to bring food or drink with them to school.

Lunch times Each bubble will be assigned a different time to access the canteen. The canteen (including the canteen toilets) will be deep cleaned between each bubble use. Two bubbles may have the same lunch time (see above) but they will not use the canteen at the same time. Bubbles will be kept separate throughout break and lunch times.

Cleaning and disposal To dispose of waste from people with symptoms of coronavirus, such as disposable cleaning cloths, tissues and PPE: Put it in a plastic rubbish bag and tie it when full. Place the plastic bag in a second bin bag and tie it. Put it in a suitable and secure place marked for storage for 72 hours. Waste should be stored safely and securely kept away from children. Waste should not be put in communal waste areas until the waste has been stored for at least 72 hours. Storing for 72 hours saves unnecessary waste movements and minimises the risk to waste operatives. This waste does not require a dedicated clinical waste collection in the above circumstances.

Cleaning and disposal To dispose of waste from people with symptoms of coronavirus, such as disposable cleaning cloths, tissues and PPE: Put it in a plastic rubbish bag and tie it when full. Place the plastic bag in a second bin bag and tie it. Put it in a suitable and secure place marked for storage for 72 hours. Waste should be stored safely and securely kept away from children. Waste should not be put in communal waste areas until the waste has been stored for at least 72 hours. Storing for 72 hours saves unnecessary waste movements and minimises the risk to waste operatives. This waste does not require a dedicated clinical waste collection in the above circumstances.

Staff can use all available spaces for PPA, lunch, breaks etc in between teaching duties. The only exception to this rule is if an area has been deliberately locked so that the site team do not have to regularly clean it. These areas will be clearly signed. Staff must apply social distancing rules in these areas as set out by government guidelines. Staff must deep clean these areas after use as it is likely that they will be used by other staff at other points throughout the day. Staff in offices that contain more than one person must ensure they are not sitting opposite each other and should wear face coverings. Staff that are on their own in any office should put a face covering on if someone else enters the office, as should the person or persons entering the office. Where offices are not regularly used, they should be locked and not opened up. If an office or space has to be used that is not regularly used, it is essential that the site team are informed so the area can be deep cleaned. Offices or spaces that are used in this ad-hoc fashion, must be locked again after they have been
