THE “LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU”—The doors of Catholic churches across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will be open for quiet prayer and confession on Tuesday, March 14th from 7pm to 8:30pm. Marion Catholic Community’s will be held at Precious Blood Church. This is not a penance service, but a time that you or your family can come together for quiet prayer for your inten-tions as well as for others. It is also a time to partake in the Sacrament of Rec-onciliation. Has someone you love stopped going to Mass or feels separated from the Church? Join the Lord in inviting him or her back to church. The Light is On for You is a way for those who have been away from the Church to experience the love and mercy of God. If the time is right, invite him or her to consider talking with a priest and receive the grace of the Sacrament of Recon-

ciliation. Learn more at: www.lightison4u.org.

sions. This will be the only Reconciliation Service prior to Easter.

ENCOUNTER LENT WITH CRS RICE BOWLS—CRS Rice Bowls offers families, schools and faith communities an opportunity to prayerfully encounter our neighbor and our God through Lent. *Through prayer, we encounter Christ, present in the face of every member of our human family. *Through fasting, we encounter the obstacles that prevent us from loving God and neighbor. *Through almsgiving, we encounter our brothers and sisters around the world, sharing God’s

gifts with others.

LENTEN PROGRAM—Sin, guilt, failure, disappointment . . these are all an unpleasant but universal reality of the human experience. We all have to deal with them, but we can’t do it alone. The remedy is immediately available and miraculously

effective—the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This isn’t a rule, a formality, or an old-fashioned ritual—it’s an intimate experience of God’s mercy. And it has the power not only to cleanse us from sin, but to heal us and transform our lives. Forgiven is a 4 week study, with a 30 minute episode to watch each week. You can do this as a group, family or individually. There will be accompanying discussion guides to use if you wish that help penetrate the beauty and mystery of God’s mercy and the importance of regular confession. In order to access this program, search formed.org then a tab at the top called PROGRAMS and click on the FORGIVEN picture. There is also a video for children on Confession, which is really awesome. This is a free program, please check it out. Our parish

code is 3171a3.
