WHY ASLP?

I forgot what I was taught; I only remember

what I learnt …

Patrick White, 1973 Noble Prize Winner for Literature

We know that many young people do not really know how

strong they are, how competent they are or even who

they are until they get away from their parents and test

themselves in a new and challenging environment.

When a child is on his own, the experience is his alone, the

satisfaction belongs only to him and he does not have to

filter it through what his parents think and feel.

“ASLP is a specially created program where children

develop assets that help them grow into successful adults.

They feel safe, are comfortable taking healthy risks and

setting goals, so they actually invent their futures,”

What does ASLPC do?

If only knowledge of Pythagoras Theorem could make a child a creative thinker!

If only scoring the highest in English could make a child a confident public speaker!

If only knowledge of zoology/biology could make a child love nature and think of sustainable global development!

If only Social Studies could teach a child the art of relationship building and living in a culturally diverse environment!

If only going to school could ensure that every child emerges as a complete individual, a holistic personality, an accomplished citizenof the world and most importantly a happy and successful person!

If only…...

We send our children to school for academic learning, so that in the future they are able to use the education andlearning thereof to be successful professionals. Being successful at education/academics does not guarantee you aholistic, happy and successful life. We often need Life Skills that are an amalgamation of Personal Skills, Social Skills andCognitive Skills. A complete and holistic development of the child, using Life Skills is what ASLPC aims for. The skillsdeveloped in our program include but are not limited to:

Personal Skills: Personality Development, Confidence Building, Time Management, Goal Setting, Self-Motivation,Communication Skills, Stress Management, Anger Management and more…

Social Skills: Relationship building, Relationship Management, Negotiation Skills, Persuasion Skills, Team working,Cooperation and Collaboration Skills and more...

Cognitive Skills: Memory Skills, Numeric Skills, Reading and Writing Skills, Comprehension Skills, Meditation and more...
