Step back! ! Or I’ll kick you, all right? I will kick and bite and buck and fi ght!

Don’t mistake me for being cute, cuddly and fat.I’m a mean little pony, I can promise you that.

Don’t come to my stall. I‘ll push you up the wall! I want no brush on my belly, no sticky fi ngers rubbing my tusch.

If you don’t go on your own, I’ll make sure you leave in a rush!

I will lift my hoof and lay back my ears. Once…this trick of mine set a girl to tears!

Then I will snort, and show you my bite! So back off and get out of my sight!

I was born to be free to run with my herd. This situation I am in is more than absurd!

I am confi ned in a stall. Staring at a freakin’ wall! I stand here 24/7, day after day

and all I get to eat is dusty old hay.

My master comes. He’s a jolly old boy! The thing is; that he thinks that I’m a toy!

But, there will be no pinching saddle on my back! Or any other misfi tting tack!

No bridle pulling my mouth, no spurs digging in my side.I just wanna run on the open wide!

Can’t you see? All I have is my pride. That’s why I strut and prance, doing my little dance.

I let my tail fl y and wear my head high. That will scare you of course!

But I could make things so much worse! I could buck and rear and leave you in fear.

And you would put a chain through my mouth and whip my behind

and think that with force you would make me be kind.

I weigh a quarter of a ton. I am much stronger than you. But, what I am about to tell you now is absolutely true.

So listen up, because this is just for you!

You give me an elbow for not lifting my hoof. Can’t you see, for me that’s just another proof!

My feet are my life insurance, they will help me fl ee. When I trust you, I will lift them for you, you see.

It is true I am a mean little pony but I am always afraid.

I need for you to make me feel safe. To be in charge and show me the way.

I have no choice. I belong to you. If you behave like a friend I will be your friend too.

I can learn your language and you could learn my language too. When you begin to listen…I will be there for you.

Slaps are for dogs and I don’t like that!

You may rub my withers and blow softly in my nose. And when I get startled. Keep a relaxed pose.

Please, don’t hit me! That will make things worse.

Just lead me down the trail and I will carry you on my back. Together we will fi nd our own private track.

Out of joy, I would lift my tail and I would pin my left ear. But I would never buck and I would never rear.

If you keep this in mind and sometimes give me a snack. This mean little pony will be your best ever hack!
