There once was a fox who lived with many animals in the forest.

He had lived a happy life but was tired. So, he fell asleep forever.

Owl flew down and landed next to his friend. Owl was very sad.

All of Fox’s friends came to the clearing. Fox had been loved by everyone.

Owl said, “I remember when we raced to catch leaves in autumn.”

Mouse said softly, “I remember how much Fox loved the sunset.”

All the animals remembered their favourite stories about Fox.

And as they talked, a little plant grew where Fox was lying.

The animals talked all night. And as they did, the plant grew into a tree.

The more they remembered, the more it grew, until it was the tallest tree.
