The Men’s Football Acdemy was the first academy at Huddersfield New College. We play in the English Colleges Football League.
The English Colleges Football Association (ECFA) was formed in 2002 following developments which had taken place within the parent body (British Colleges Sport). ECFA developed the English Colleges Football League (sanctioned by the Football Association) to provide a competitive context for young talented footballers recruited into college football academies around the country.
Strict criteria are applied before membership to the league is approved to help ensure that the young players are receiving the best possible conditions to further their technical development whilst following a full timevocational / academic programme which will lead to nationally recognised qualifications.
