The Christmas Season is here, and Lynn and I are excited to celebrate this “most wonderful time of the year” with our new church family! Although our schedules get busier, we are glad that the holiday season provides natural opportunities to intentionally connect with and bless our “ambassador friends!” Lynn will take some Christmas cookies

to our neighbors (I’ll part with a few of them) as a way of growing our friendship with them. Too, I’ll enjoy lunch together with my ambassador friend this month. We also plan to invite our friends to attend one of our Christmas Eve services. There are so many ways to show God’s grace during the Christmas season!

How Secure Do You Feel As 2019 Approaches?

Security has become more & more important everywhere we go. At Airports, Schools, Businesses,

Banks, Homes and even Churches! For Christians our security is found in Jesus Christ our

savior and Lord. John 10:28-29 “I give my sheep eternal life and they shall never perish.”

Job 11:18 “You will live secure and full of Hope. God will protect you and give you rest.” John

14:1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Trust in God. Trust also in me.” No one is ever promised

they will not face harm or danger, illness or diseases, accidents or tragedy. But whenever such

events occur, believers in Jesus can look beyond to an eternal security. Let us thank God and

rejoice that God will take care of us in 2019 and always!! Great is His Faithfulness!!

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing!

I often get songs stuck in my head. Recently, “I am a Friend of God” was on a repeat in my

brain. Great song and one that got me thinking; what qualifies me as a Friend of God? A short

Bible Study was begun, and I was reminded that Abraham was called God’s friend. I believe

Genesis 15:6 is the key reason, “Abram believed God and it was credited to him as

righteousness.” I also am a friend of God but only through the Righteousness of Jesus Christ that

was credited to my account on the day I believed in Him. What a great gift we celebrate at

Christmas when we understand that the Righteousness of God put on flesh and dwelled among

us. I want every student at WBC to be able to say that they too are a Friend of God. I hope this

is your desire as a parent/grand-parent and your priority during this holiday season and

throughout all of 2019.

CHRISTMAS! We Remember, Rejoice, Worship This is the title of the Christmas Musical the Choir, Instrumentalists and

Praise Team are preparing for December 16th.

In writer/arranger Mike Speck”s message to those presenting this musical,

he reminds us of three elements needed to experience an authentic and

meaningful Christmas!

REMEMBER - and Tell the Biblical account of Christ’s birth

REJOICE - Jesus, our Savior is born! Rejoice through joyous

singing and playing of instruments!

WORSHIP - We miss the most important part of Christmas if we fail to

worship! Praise, Adoration and Exaltation of the newborn Messiah!

Gratitude from our hearts for what He has done!

And Bethlehem is only the beginning! Jesus was born, lived, died and was

resurrected to save us from our sins! To quote the phrase that sums up

the entire story: “From His father’s throne in glory, to a manger filled with

hay; From Bethlehem to Calvary, Jesus Christ is still the only way!”

Attention Parents and Grandparents. Are you still

looking for that perfect gift idea? What better gift

to give your child or grandchild than a trip to Camp

Caraway! Cost is only $200! See me if interested.

The Children’s Ministry is planning and preparing

for 2019! We have had to make a big change to our

calendar due to the school year being extended,

VBS has been moved to the week of July 8th

through 12th. Other event date changes may also

be necessary, but we will keep you informed.

Hope you are as excited about serving the Lord in

2019 as I am!
