After many years of chaos in Egypt Thebes was made the capital in the kingdom which replaced Memphis as the capital city

THE WEALTH OF EGYPT

During this time period Egypt started to expand their trade. This greatly increased the artistic and intellectual life of the people of Egypt.

This time period was also referred to as the golden age of literature. The middle class also developed a taste for rare and expensive items that were normally owned by the upper class and royalty.
