I have heard that the only human made object visible from space is the Great Wall of China. I’ve also heard that it is not the case. Last time I was in orbit I forgot to check. In any case, it is a wonder of human construction of gargantuan proportions. So…one of the most incredible human achievements is a wall. We are all very good at building walls – not just physical ones, but emotional, psy-chological, and even spiritual ones. We put them up as a defense mechanism - out of hurt, out of fear, out of shame, or out of guilt. They create separation from others, from ourselves, and from God. What amazing insight from Paul, then, to see the power and action of Jesus as the “Breaker of Walls.” I think it’s a great image and title of Jesus, and it’s a reminder to all of us. We have access to God and God’s grace and God’s life and God’s power. We don’t need to live lives of distance, separation, and alienation. We can live lives of peace and reconciliation.

All Hands on Deck for Casa Maria Outreach Ministry invites all parishioners to participate in preparing sandwiches for Casa Maria's Soup Kitchen. Casa Maria serves more than 400 meals daily to our brothers and sisters needing assistance. Join us this Sunday, July 22, between 7:45am and 9:45am Masses. Stay late or come early. All ages and abilities are welcome. Questions may be directed to Anna Elias-Cesnik [email protected].
We have added a “tab” on the homepage of our parish website (www.cccctucson.org) … Funeral Announcements. We hope this will help get funeral service announcements and other pertinent infor-mation out to our community about members of our parish who have passed into eternal life. This infor-mation is also available on our Prayer Chain.
Parish Library
The Parish Library is located in the Parish Office and offers an extensive collection of literature and audio-visual materials to our Corpus Christi Community. New books and materials are pro-cessed each month. Locating a book is made easy with the use of a 3-ring binder where each book is listed by title, author, and category. Each item contains a library card to fill out and a “Return Book” shelf. (Please return the materials so they may be available to others)
Milestones
Do you have a “milestone date” coming up (birthday, anniversary, etc.)? Would you like your friends and fellow parishioners at Corpus Christi to celebrate the event with you? Please either call the parish office (520-751-4235) or email the bulletin at [email protected] and let us know about your upcoming milestone event at least 10 days before you would like it announced.
