ADAPTING TO OUR COVID-19 WORLD Trustee Brian Craig
The COVID-19 virus and its implications have changed many things in our Township. As of this writing, some businesses are still closed or restricted in their operations. Many employees have been laid off, work restricted hours, or have migrated to remote work. A few leisure activities continue to be restricted. Almost every citizen has experienced a profound impact on their personal lives.
What was recently a mundane daily activity now elicits concern, or at the very least perhaps a different approach. The rules for the township to follow have been changed many times since the Coronavirus pandemic began. As we navigate our new “normal” we
encourage you to visit these websites: Ohio Department of Health -coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/ portal/gov/covid-19/home; Lucas County Health Department lucascountyhealth.com/ coronavirusupdates/ or Monclova Township - monclovatwp.org. Updated information will be provided as we adapt to this new world.
My fellow trustees and I want to thank all of the healthcare workers and the first responders for their selflessness in pursuing their duties and protecting Monclova Township residents. Our appreciation to essential workers throughout various industries. You all exemplify the tenacity of our country.

MAILBOXES IN MONCLOVA
It’s that time of year to shore up your mailbox post, replace posts that have been compromised by lawn care, or replace the entire unit. Better now than regretting it when winter conditions are harsh but repairs are needed.
GOLF CARTS AND MOTORIZED
TOYS IN OUR ROADS
Electric or gas powered scooters, mini-motorcycles,
mopeds (with pedals), children’s motorized cars, golf
carts, and lawn maintenance vehicles are prohibited on Ohio roadways due to standards of use unless certain
requirements are met.
If a deputy witnesses someone riding an illegal vehicle, a
citation and/or impound may occur. Parents/guardians
should also be aware that under Ohio Criminal Code Section 2919.22(A) entitled ‘Endangering Children,’ they
can be subject to criminal penalties if they create a
substantial risk to the health or safety of the child by
violating a duty of care, protection, or support.
Observers should call and report illegal use of these items by dialing 9-1-1.
